I have a 1000mbps up and down fiber optic cable going straight to my desk (where it gets converted into CAT6 signal). My current plan is limited to 100mbps up/down however as i do not need faster speeds at the moment and this way i only pay 11 Euros for it.

Btw Norway SK and Sweden havent been fastest countries by internet speed for a long time now.

29ping, 9.89 download and 0.78 upload. So yeah it's pretty bad.
Change your ISP ASAP. having upload speed bellow download speed is not acceptable and no ISP with this limit should be even taken into consideration when choosing a provider. these guys are stuck in 90s when this was done due to phone cable wire configurations and they clearly forgot that 20 years have passed.

Fibre connection in Urayasu, Chiba -

Fastest internet connection I've ever had, but the reliability's been a little crappy since a recent power outage caused by lightning strike, so even here the internet is less than perfect!
Thats not fiber connection. Fiber connections do not differentiate between download and upload because they use single light strand (can be multiple for the very high speed ones). You would get same (or very similar) results for download and upload if you were on fiber.

It says faster than 87%... It's a lie I say!
Thats because it is a lie. You have selected a local server (evident from 1ms ping) and thus your results are not representative of real life experience. try choosing a server in another country or state for more realistic performance.

50+Mbps, free upgrades to speed twice now, less than 50USD with no caps and free wifi modem. My ISP has also given me a free Xbox360 and PS3 when I renewed my contracts so I really cannot complain.

I did another test since the telephone line went dead two days ago meaning no internet. Turns out it was the local connection point that was at fault.

Granted I still agreed that my parent should switch ISP however the current ISP (Postoffice broadband) allow them to have free oversea calls at the weekends and since they were from China.

At home I get ~80Mbps download and ~20Mbps upload uncapped, which sets me back around 40 quid a month including line rental. It's pretty good, especially considering some of the speeds some friends of mine are getting, but it does blip off every few hours for, like, two seconds at a time. Not enough to stop me getting my work done, just enough to make online gaming a pain in the arse.
