its was an amazing game. I hope there is a sequel on PS3
Well, there's always The Last Guardian. Hopefully it'll tie into Ico and Shadow of the Colossus in one way or another. :3

The game made me feel... well, tiny. Pitting me against frickin' creatures the size of office buildings...

Don't get the wrong idea, now - I loved the game.

If you had a poll option that said something to the effect of, "No, I haven't played it, but would like to except for the fact that I am perpetually broke," I would have selected that. I've wanted to give Shadow of the Colossus a shot since I first saw advertisements for it ages ago. Judging from what I've seen other escapists post about it, it will be a great experience.

Playing through it made me feel like I was a monster. It really tugs at the heartstrings if you're one to let it. It hit me like a Mack Truck what was going on about 3 or 4 big guys in. Huge moment for me in gaming, one that I'll always remember.

An amazing game. Full of original gameplay concepts, and easily the holder of some of the most epic moments in all of gaming. The ending was extremely emotional, too: the use of interactive inevitability in the ending sequence was heart-wrenching, despite an overall underdeveloped story.
lol I thought I'd find you here. I got an immense sense of satisfaction after toppling one of those beasts, and while there was a lack of story in the beginning, as Thais has mentioned it more than makes up for it in the end.

Shadow of the Colossus is the only game that actually made me sad for what happened to a non-human NPC.

It was like Artax all over again. *Snif* That's it I am watching that movie again.

Man, loved this game. I was enjoying being a bastard and killing these giants, then I realized at the very end that
it was just one of those asshole gods making me kill innocent, majestic creatures for t3h epic lulz

I turned off my PS2 and cried for a bit.

It was a brilliantly crafted emotional experience.
Which was ruined for me, because I spent more time yelling at the game for its horrible, horrible controls than actually enjoying the experience.

I've had a good run lol By the way, I always kinda had a feeling that you were the "bad guy" in a sense. I mean, the first few creatures just try to shake you off as you climb their fur in order to impale the crap outta them, so YOU can resurrect your dead girlfriend.

I loved the boss fights, the story was convulted and crappy as possible. I mean THAT ENDING WAS JUST WTF.
BOOM Headshot! Very subtle use of sarcasm by the way, if I didn't know better I'd have thought you were serious haha.

It was very good, but I played it too late. The visuals were already outdated and SO much of that game is on the subtleties, the atmosphere and the ambiance.

Only when you go next gen do you realize that the PS2 sucked in terms of sound quality. Everything sounds tinny and thin.

oh, SotC is easily one of my favorite games.
The game play was actually more deep and interactive upon exploration, I only just found out you could be carried by the hawk! Though the lack of an established story line did prove a turn off at first, I came to enjoy the freedom it gave me. No "go to point xx to get keycard y, then travel all the way back to point xy and give it to npc#1 so you can get the upgrade to unlock the secret passageway in order to rescue dumb shit from the obviously evil aliens." No, it was more like, "here is a girl, she's not awake(hence the lack of signs of life), she is important to teh character. how do you know? well, he took the trouble of bringing her all the way out there to wake her up, and anyone who has walked on that bridge can tell you it takes a long time to get to the end.( i cant count the number of times i lost focus and jumped off halfway across...) So, she's there, your here, and there are 16 enemies in the game(not counting that one damn turtle that keeps tricking me off the cliff....) Oh, and by the way, most of those enemies are the size of a skyscraper. Good luck. I had to come up with my own motivation to play this game through, and let me tell ya, it wasn't that hard. I mean, you know how good it feels to fell a skyscraper monster? Good really fakin good. I played simply to fight the monsters. Only near the end did I start to pay attention to the story...or lack thereof, because much to my surprise, the nameless hero, upon many a skyscrapers conquest, started to sprout horns. Yeah, at that point I was starting to question wtf was going on. Soon i realised those black snakes at the end of every fight did more than just make me feel violated more than a 12 year old girl in a japanese hentai. Soon the name of the game became "run away from the snakes so they don't turn me purple!" ahh, good times.....
After a few victories on foot, i started to have to use the horse more and more, then came the sand dragon. Never in my life have I been more happy to have a npc partner. Usuakky i hate relying on a.i's to get stuff done, but damn, that horse was the best fucking thing to happen to me in any game. So i mastered teh horse riding features and got to the point where I was able to hunt the elusive lizards while on horse back! I was s proud of myself.
Then I beat the game.
That mind fuck of an ending still has lingering effects. I still think i could beat it in some way.
Then i scaled the castle. Im convinced there is a way to get on the very top, but maybe it's just my imagination.

I'm not ashamed to admit it, the first playthrough the ending made me cry. Greatest game ever, without a doubt.

I haven't played it, but I plan on buying it when I can due to all the hype.

Recently got my PS2 back and realised there are quite a few titles I have missed out on.

Ico.

And, you'll laugh, but Kingdom Hearts II.
It wasn't really one thing about it, it was the music combined with the situations in the game combined with "EMOTUNUL THANGS GOING ON IN MAH LIFE" and the fact that I was YOUNG AND FULL OF ANGST or whatever.

Yeah, so I'm making excuses for enjoying good piano.
