Poll: How did the universe start?

Well ignoring the massive misconception that there was nothing before the big bang i would say, two volatile particles collided and the resulting explosion was the big bang.
The emanating radiation is a strong suggestion that this was the case. Also as the entire universe is about 1% of what was created in the big bang i do not believe that it was crafted or designed. It's commonly known now that almost all of the matter (regular, strange, anti etc) annihilated itself and everything around it about an instant after it was formed. We are the crumbs on the edge and it was all natural.

I think some other universe experienced the "Big Crunch" and the resulting implosion broke through into a parellel dimension where there was no matter or energy and all that shit from the other dimension exploded out into the void and made this universe.

We are the rotting corpse of another dimension.

I never understood how scientists came up with the Big Bang theory. What did they base it on? Seems to me like they just decided to say there was a giant explosion. What can't be caused by a giant explosion?

I personally don't believe the universe was ever created at all.

I reserve the righ to say that I think that the universe started when the previous one ended, and its ust a infinite chain of previous universes, pretaining to the law of equivilant exchange, which thusly states the no matter can be created with out the loss of an equal amount of matter

I agree, but i've always considered the possibility that we're just all pickled brains in jars in some mad scientist lab, imagining all of this.
