i was just wondering this after i finished oblivion and realized that i hadn't met a single npc i hadn't either killed or robbed. It is the same in every rpg i play. Mainly, does anyone ever play nice?

All I do is play nice. And mage or rogue, depending on mana regeneration rate.

I'm nice, but greedy. NO MONEY FOR THE POOR!

Also, I hate EVERYONE who played the uber-generic Human Noble Warrior in Dragon Age. Whether good or evil, you are Mr. Generic Pants.

Play a good character but in said Oblivion I take the adoring fan to a remote place and make sure he never leaves. Annoying characters do that.

I also killed Jericho and Moriarty from Fallout 3 because Megaton was better off without them.

I am always, inevitably, no matter how hard I try, am a paragon of...good...guy..ness.

Always. I just can't bring myself to go mental and kill and rob.

I'm usually a good person but I steal a lot (my characters are usually thievish so its kind of a given) and very rarely kill innocents so my vote is "i rob and kill occasionally"

I consider myself to be somewhere between Neutral Good and Pure Neutral, to put in alignment terms.

I act like me; kind, forgiving, compassionate, but if you fuck with my brain I'm going to tear yours out with my bare hands.

I almost always play the good guy, but I'll try and play at least one playthrough as a bad guy.

Divine Warrior!
kinda...
in fallout my thinking was: this is my wasteland, and you're messing it up
but screw the little people, if there's a chance of getting a cool weapon (ultra smg, sorry sidney) or get all the perks of a quest line (i agreed to help, then butchered, the family), i'll go for it
also, i go on occasional killing sprees
yeah... i dont think the other divine warriors will welcome me.
LawfLul neutral is always called evil by 'goodies'
EDIT: in case i didn't sound enough like an anal, obsessive, sociopath. I found a morrally grey situation once and rather than deciding wich to do, i killed literally everybody. it's refreshing to be an absolute dick sometimes

Well, I suppose to use a Mass Effect comparison, I'm pretty much a Paragon. I'll probably find a way to get rid of the adoring fan in Oblivion like JaceValm did...but not in any way that kills the kid.

I'm like that in D&D and Maple Story as well. I try and help in any way possible to support my team.

I only did it for the cunning bonus! Honest!

OT: I only kill people who are in my way. And then I nick everything of course.

I'm a generally good guy. Though I'm not a slave to the morality system. I'll punch obnoxious reporters from time to time (though the paragon response in ME2 is just as satisfying), and will berate greedy people and assholes.

Depends on the game. In Oblivion I usually kill the people that can be killed, but in conversation-driven RPGs like Mass Effect or Dragon Age I always try everything. I start out with making a full out nice guy, then my second character becomes the incarnation of evil. The third one is more neutral, but more nice than evil.

In games, I typically go with what I call the "scion of light". As in, almost all good, perhaps to a fault. However, that doesn't mean you are safe. In some games, if there's a clear-cut enemy, I tend to wipe them off the face of the world (or worlds, should more than one planet be involved). If you're a threat to the world, whatever weapons I have at the time soon become a threat to you.

SUUUUUURE. The totally massive +1 cunning that your warrior couldn't have more than made up for with the better warrior stat bonuses of a Dwarf.

I do what I have to do and I generally avoid collateral damage, but yeah,if one or two POW have to die to save the world,I won't stop to think long.
I tend to think negatively about divine warriors(especially paladins) for their inability to make the tough choices.

However, sometimes,I enjoy making a separate save and just loot everything not bolted to the ground, kill anyone that looks at me funny and just go around punching people in the streets for the lulz.Very liberating.

I play how I'd live, especially in a more lawless setting. I'll fucking kill anyone I think the world's better without, but won't really steal anything.

It's not stealing if they're bad, and thus dead. Looting is fair game.

True Neutral almost everytime.

Only exception would be Mass Effect, where I'm pure paragon due to wanting to help out mah companions.
