Like 97% good.

I always wind up doing one or two bad things in a game, either by accident or because it's the best option for me. (For instance, in ME2 I made one renegade decision because you get an Assault Rifle upgrade for it, as opposed to a stupid Heavy Weapons upgrade for the paragon decision.)

I usually get really into my character, even talking like them at the times I get sucked into the game in question.

Nearly always lawfully neutral....
I'll never strike anyone that doesn't strike me first but I always defend the weak - but I'm usually in the quest for revenge or my own agenda.

I usually steal everything that isn't bolted to the floor, but I don't kill people unless I know for a fact that they won't be important. I learned that the hard way in oblivion where every other quest I'd do would randomly fail because I previously killed the person I was supposed to talk to next. As for how I act and carry out quests, I usually just do what benefits me the most, but if it doesn't really matter like in ME2, I'll almost always take the "renegade" options.

I'm eternally emulative of myself, even in Forum RPs. I have a difficult time pretending to be anyone else with vastly different morals.

i was just wondering this after i finished oblivion and realized that i hadn't met a single npc i hadn't either killed or robbed. It is the same in every rpg i play. Mainly, does anyone ever play nice?
Depends how I feel about them, really. I do tend to rob from everybody though cause... well... Moneys.

Recently, Ive been doing what I think is best.
So, I guess you could say I'm "Neutral".

I usually play a good duy who goes in mercenary/assasin mode when needed or really doesn't like someone. If someone ticks off my divine warrior he's rarely left standing.

I find it really hard to play bad guys in RPGs, they just don't appeal to me.

That said I don't go exclusively paragon either. I tend very much to the side of good but if there's a way to make a couple of extra credits doing something I may go for it. I do tend to stick with slightly more palatable credit-making experiences though. Smuggling and Bounty Hunting bad guys for example.

This is pretty much my tactic too. I just love the feeling you get when you steal everything and get away with it. Almost every classic RPG dubs me as chaotic neutral, but I don't know how accurate that really is.

I act nice to everyone.
Apparently, deep inside me is a person who just wants a hug.
Maybe I ate him.

I am always a nice guy, except when I'm not allowed to be or if it's for a quest. See, if there is a quest that requires me to go whack somebody, and it isn't one of those deals where this is a clearly evil quest branch that terminates other possible avenues by eliminating quest givers, than I will always take it - my goal is to do everything I possibly can, provided it isn't the evil option in a binary choice. If being evil for a while means a whole bunch of additional quests that I'd never see otherwise and which don't interfere with the good guy type quests, then that's what I'll do.

Take Fallout 2: In the city of New Reno, there are several crime families you can do various jobs for and eventually become a member of - I would work for all of them. See, if you turn down 3 of the 4 crime bosses, those organizations turn on you and try to kill you, and since wiping out other crime families is a quest, I can almost join the one, turn them down, kill them all guilt free since I'm being attacked, go to the next boss, accept the reward for wiping out that family, turn him down, wipe that family out, and then finally join crime family #3, who are comparatively not very threatening or hostile. Family #4 I also kill, but that's because the head of the family catches me sleeping with his wife (which I totally have to do no matter how I might feel about it otherwise simply because you can get stat upgrades) and possibly also his daughter, and then tries to make me kill people of the "good guy quest giver" variety, so when I refuse they attack me and I kill everyone except his wife and daughter - because I'm a good guy, whee!

But I am never evil simply because I can be - I will steal everything that isn't nailed down because I remain cognizant at some level that NPCs don't really need their stuff and I'm the only character with true personal agency, but I won't insult them or kill them simply because I have the option to do so, and I will happily give away vast fortunes or refuse rewards if given the option to do so.

Essentially, I'm a nice guy unless meta-gaming gets in the way, which it does from time to time (hence why I will do stuff only to turn around and sell people out as that way lies more XP, heh).

I play the game by making the decisions I would make in that situation. I only murder or steal if it's absolutely necessary.

I am usually some sort of phycotic mass murderer, but I can some times be more subtle, manipulative variant, mostly chaotic of neutral evil.

I'm full Paragon, baby!

Seriously though, I tend to play way too nice unless I have a specific goal in mind that requires me to be an asshole to someone. Even then I usually try to be as nice as possible, stealthing over stabbing and all that.

At least on my first playthrough.

My second tends to be a little less perfect, investigating what happens if I punch so and so instead of giving her a backrub. I start to see if moral choices actually make much difference.

And then I always go and create an uber-dick, designed to be as offensive as possible and used purely for messing around in game. Very occasionally, and I mean VERY, will I take one of my 'evil' characters seriously, and even then they tend not to open fire on sight. For example, my Fallout 3 girly, Levi is a smooth-talking assassin who'll try and charm her way into or out of things but won't hesitate to repaint the place with your brains should you cross her.

Yeah, I'm pretty boring.
