I always play the good guy, I have tried on several occasions to be the bad guy but I just can't do it it's not me. >.< I still have yet to finish FNV as an evil character.

I consider it more of a challenge to play with a 'good karma', in Fallout 3 terms. But sometimes, I really just need to blow off some steam, so I save and go on a killing spree, the only problem is if you accidentally save over the first save, and then your karma rating has dropped big-time permanently - that's happened to us all, I guess.

If I ever see anything I really want or a lock that needs picking, I do it, but then do something goody-two-shoes to make up for it, such as give all my purified water to the sick guy outside Rivet City

P.S. Sorry putting that all in a Fallout setting, but it seemed like the easiest way to explain the complex demeanour of my character in any RPG.

I am a good guy to a fault. I just love playing the hero. hearing three dog tell me how Great I am and how I'm the last best hope for humanity, made me feel really proud of what I had done.

a truly great moment in gaming.

I remember when I completely massacred the entirety of Paradise Falls in Fallout 3 and got good karma for doing it - that was the best part of the entire game for me, killing hundreds of people for great justice. So yeah, if I can kill people, I will, but only if it's morally justified (which in most cases it isn't but the game says it is).

I usually play the good guy but have a hard time taking rudeness, taunting, or racism from NPCs so if that happens I just off them (if doing so doesn't break the game, anyway).

Depends on the game, and the character I play.

For example, I'm currently working on my fifth playthrough of DAO, this time as a mage. He can be quite cold and demanding. In previous playthroughs, I've had an easygoing, cheery, playful type; a withdrawn and distant soldierly type; a warrior where various demons are very lucky she's not a mage because if they tried possessing her the storm of rage and hate inside her mind would rip them apart...

So yeah. Anyone who plays only one type in most RPGs is doing it wrong, IMHO.

My first playthrough, though, is usually as a guy mystified by the world around him (as I am, as it's the first playthrough) just trying to keep his head above water.

I'm mostly a good guy but sometimes I just want to have some fun and start killing some innocent people.

I avoid killing when I can, since I'm much more concerned with taking everything that isn't nailed down. Seriously, if it isn't nailed down, it's going in my pocket. If it IS nailed down, then I'm probably rummaging through my pockets to see if I have anything that'll un-nail it so I can put it in my pocket.

I steal things if I can, if I can't I just murder everything in rage about it. I act nice to people if I can steal, I just take their stuff while I'm at it.

I always end up "good", despite robbing everyone everywhere, and killing people who particularly displease me. Ah, well, I guess if you save enough peoples' lives, the good outweighs the occasional theft or murder.

I usually play chaotic neutral in the game and I have two save files: one for my straight-up quests, and the other to straight up murder entire towns.

I do what it takes to get the job done. If I can resolve a problem without rivers of blood and mountains of skulls, I'll take that route. But sometimes people need to die and possessions need to be liberated.

Depends on my mood. Sometimes I'll just do quests as long as the rewards are consistently decent. Sometimes, I'll just get impatient and kill everything with the poor judgement to be in my way.

I go for power but in a good way, whether it be pure power and killing everything (Mage) or sneaky power and owning everything assassin style (Rogue). I'm pretty much the good guys' evil person ... think of it as Vegeta style ^^.
Oh and if anyone cares ... Runes of Magic, Mage(lvl38)/Rogue(lvl20), been playing on and off for just over a year and my main chars name is Jaxxorz.

I always act like a total angel when I'm speaking to people, but once the conversation is over, I will pickpocket them, loot their house, and possibly kill them.

I try really hard not to kill people who don't deserve it but I will steal anything that I can pick up. As long as it's worth something at least.
