I'm unemployed atm because I'm suffering from stage 4 endometriosis which took them 21 years to diagnose.... :( However I have a charity helping me called St Loyes that hopefully when I'm well enough they will help me get back into work. I suffer heavily from depression too which doesn't help (and like people I love keep dying :S) but I'm hoping I can push past it.

I worked in retail for 15 years (while in school) so it's not like I haven't done anything. :p I also have 2 degrees, a BA in history and a BSc in Information Technology. I'm hoping that I can make enough money to get on a games development course at some point and before I got really sick I did some games journalism which apparently everyone thought was great. I'd really like to get back to that when I'm better.

I inherited some cash from my grandma (who was the nicest lady ever) so I'm kind of living on that atm.

Yeah, I'm currently a full-time student. However, in the summers, I work at a golf course. In the back shop, if you must know.

Found out today that I'll be making a crisp $12 an hour this year (a $1 raise from last summer), which, y'know, isn't bad for a summer job. It's enough to cover my tuition for the following year, and then give me enough spending money throughout school. That's pretty awesome.
That's pretty sweet! I also noticed you changed your avatar, what it is off of?
Yuna? From FFX if I were to fancy a guess. You know. The one with the imaginary protagonist and evil whale plot :D
>_> Right, right..I've totally played this series and know what you are talking about. Though, in all seriousness I do recall a 'Yuna' character from Kingdom Hearts. Maybe? Or maybe that was another character.
Let me sum up FFX in 60 or so seconds and perhaps freshen up your memory.

Currently a retail drone, working at a store that sells board games, puzzles, stuff like that. We get a pretty... interesting cross section of customers. Little old ladies who spend all their money on jigsaw puzzles, hardcore D&D players, those crazy people who solve Rubik's Cubes with their eyes closed...

I'm a sales assistant in a retrail store. Consider that it's my first job ever (was unemployed for a while) and I still lived with my parent, I bring home a piece of bacon well realistically half/ fragment of a bacon.
I lived with my parent for a reason as my current income from my work is not enough for me to lived on my own (if I lived in a flat with a flatmate I still have bills to pay and etc).

I love my job.
So you work at Krispy Kreme? That's awesome, can I have free donuts?

OT: I have a job in the most magical place in the world. A cotton mill. Yay?

Government Library Technician. My job is ordering/maintaining all books, journals and magazines in the library as well as some conservation and reference work. And a bunch of other stuff. Lots of accounting with all the ordering I do. Pretty soul-sucking, but good pay and benefits.

Currently working in my cover letter for a posting in Alberta to get back to working with kids and the public, as I really miss it. Used to be a school librarian.

I'm.....call it owner-in-training at my parents' restaurant. How many hats do I wear? I have done every task: scrubbing the floor, prepping food, doing dishes, opening/closing the stores, the weekly cash pickup, payroll, accounts payable, journal entries, taxes, training employees, studying the food code, getting myself and others trained in ServSafe, ordering/inventory, choosing a new insurance plan for the company in the wake of ObamaCare, closing fiscal periods, revaluing the company, analyzing financial reports, painting the front room....

It goes on.

Just had to... sorry...

OT: I'm a full time student and live off my student loan. I've tried to get a part time job, but it's impossible. I realized I was working 4 hours a day writing job applications with no luck. Decided to give it a rest after landing a job interview and not getting the job because I lacked experience. Yeah, I lack experience because I can't get a job which I can't get because I can't get a job. Fucking loop.

I work as a paralegal by day and business incorporator for my mother by night. The latter was actually my old job before I got hired on by a lawyer by her recommendation, but my replacement was a complete idiot so I am doing about 75% of what I use to do, which results in a paycheck every week. I have higher aspirations of becoming a cop, but I need to find a town/ city I want to live in before that happens... also for academies to start accepting new recruits. So right now I'm just living in a very affordable apartment, putting money away, paying off debt, and just generally enjoying life.

I, personally, work at a local detention centre (or jail, in un-fancy terms) contracted by a private cooperation.
I never got calling them "Detention Centers". It's a JAIL! Why do we need such soft language for a flipping JAIL?! It's like how storemen are now called "Supply Assistants". Weird...
The terminology refers to facilities that are used to hold inmates before they are released/convicted. :p Though, we had just a county jail before we upgraded it.

Really? Huh.

I always assumed you worked with computers or in IT, given how skillful you are at BBcode and formatting stuff here. Not to mention your masterful animation abilities.
Nope! My knowledge of BBCode (besides just simple trial and error) comes from solid foundation in HTML and the 3D knowledge from being an architectural drafting student. Thanks for the compliment, even if I spent like an hour last night figuring out how to properly do tables D:

That sounds interesting indeed...I'm doing virtually the same thing only pussified to a degree, instead of stocking shelves I...well I do stock shelves. I don't stock shelves for inmates anywhere though I stock shelves over night at a Target. 3 to 5 nights a week, depending on the week and, 4 to 8 hours per shift (though the schedule always has me down for 6...go figure). I can't really bring home much bacon...but there is swine to be had if I ever just decide to say "fuck it, I've saved enough for right now!"
It isn't so bad working with inmates; at least not at my facility. We do have a 'Max' security, but only guards are allowed to hand out commissary items. They're pretty interesting and they'll try to push your buttons but at the end of the day, all they want is your attention.

I'm a full-time student but I do freelance music work to fund my drug habits pay the bills. Mostly recording bands, making backing tracks for singers, some freelance teaching (mostly music theory or music technology). I've done some composing, but only for student projects not any paid work :[

One of my tutors regularly composes for adverts (and one feature film; "Shut Up and Shoot Me") and is helping me to find some commercial work. As long as it doesn't impact his :p

My official "Job Title" is Lease & Operations Administrator and I work for a small (like super small) oil company. My job primarily involves file maintenance and payment approval though I also do a bit of negotiation, land acquisition and contract analysis/preparation. I also handle a lot of applications to the government and the like. It's a pretty blase job that isn't really interesting unless you know about the oil business... but hey, it funds my videogame habit.
