he's ok. whenever i hear he's in a film i don't go 'ooooh, NC, awesome' but more 'oh, him, he's OK'

EDIT: just in case, by 'NC' i mean Nicholas Cage, not Nostalgia Critic!

Very meh. Most of the time I'd say he can't act but occasionally there's something he's OK in.

Annoying voice though, and I swear his hairline's been in the same place for 20 years, which is kind of odd considering it's receding.

He's great when he wants to be. Adaptation, Lord Of War and Wild At Heart all benefit heavily from having him in them. He's in a lot of crap too though, like City Of Angels. He's obviously the type of actor who acts in the films he has to act in, so he can then go and act in the films he wants to act in.

He's been really good in some really good movies, really bad in some really bad movies and really meh in some really meh movies. So I like him in his good movies and I'd stop to watch one of his movies on HBO if I was bored, but his name would never help get me into a theater.

I have a very "meh" attitude towards Cage. If I see a movie with him in it, I don't wet myself in excitement. Then again, it also doesn't make me *not* want to watch the movie if it looks interesting. In my book, he's just kind of a Joe Schmoe with big nose and fluffy hair. No more, no less.

Personally i think he's gone downhill, there used to be some films of his that i really enjoyed, for example i enjoyed...
- Con Air
- Gone In 60 Seconds
- Face Off
- Lord of War

However i feel lately that his films are just not as good as they once were, im not sure if it is down to him trying to go in a different direction or if he is just getting bad scripts, i mean with films like The Wickerman and National Treasure, i just feel he could do much better

BTW

I like how he doesn't care about how people feel about the roles he chooses.

I don't like most of the roles he's in though.

He was good in Kick-Ass though.

The Windtalkers...

To sum up everything surrounding the ending: ...Why? Then again, I think it's more the director or the writer's fault that Nicholas Cage's fault.

Edit: However, he did act well in Lord Of War, I will admit. He had some emotions, but he was cold enough to convince he was actually an intelligent weapon salesman and not some soppy idiot.

Dude's the greatest kind of bonkers. Did you see Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans? Holy shit was that funny. Especially with the breakdancing soul of the crack addict.

I kinda like him to be fair. And there are far worse actors. Yeah he's done some shite but, he was in The Rock and Con Air for a start so that gives him +2 points from me.

He did some good work in Knowing+Next although he was a bit miserable in Knowing but seeing what it's about...yeah who wouldn't be?

I just like his films really, there's something about him. Just charming and straight to the point really.

I think he's awesome. In fact, if there were a movie about my life, I would want Nicolas Cage to play me (actually, he'd be my second choice. Liam Neeson is my first pick)

He is totally awesome, but has done some total crap.... it brings the average awesomeness down a fair bit.

He's kinda like Bruce Campbell in that he's in a lot of shit movies but at least he's entertaining to watch. Usually. That's my opinion anyway.
