Poll: How do you feel about the KOTOR duo?

You don't have an option for "loved the first one, thought the second was a colossal disappointment" which is how I basically feel. The first one was classic BioWare: compelling story, unique and rounded characters, and great visuals (for the time period, of course). Yeah, it probably would have flowed better with real time combat, but the game is still an all-time favorite. I still have my copy for the xbox and play it every one and a while. But the sequel was handed over to Obsidian, and they just couldn't replicate the experience of the first IMO. Same thing happened with NWN2.

We all love KOTOR and KOTOR II don't we? Or is that a terrible assumption ;-)

For all of the faults folks are citing in KOTOR 2, which I can't ignore, it also had an intricate story and more interesting characters.

As for Old Republic, it might draw me back into MMOGs, provided I'm not still playing Dragon Age or Mass Effect 2.

I loved both of them.
They are two of my favorite games, and two of the only Xbox games I bought at release and never sold.

The story was great and I wasn't used to the combat style, but I quickly grew to like that too.

That reminds me - I should replay them once I complete the few new games that are coming out.
