Now, I know I'm practically cutting off anyone who dosent have snow in they're lives, (aka, any country thats in the far southern hemisphere) but up here in the eastern part of Canada, we just got wholloped by a rather larger snowstorm for the first snow of the year. Not to mention the freak snow-storm that hit the north-east coast of the states not too long ago.
But, heres the kicker.
Me, I own a house. I go to work. I do a heckload of shoveling to get my car out of the driveway. Although I like winter, I dread snow for the very tasks as it makes everything about my life harder. (I work as a delivery driver, so therefore, snow and ice are my deathtrap. sometimes literally.)
My girlfriends reaction though, was hysterically happy. She loves it. Mostly for the reason of it cancels school for her.
This got me thinking. Not too long ago, I was in school too. and I loved when it snowed for that very reason. But once I graduated and bought my own place, my whole idea and vision of it changed.
My question to you Escapists, is your opinion on winter? And after you got out of school and started with "responsibilities" did your opinion of it change?
