It usually depends on what the soda came in, or if I'll be the only one drinking it. If the soda comes in a two-liter (or larger) bottle and I have to share it with other people, I'll use a glass or plastic cup (whatever is on-hand) though I usually prefer to use a glass.
However, if I'm the only one who will drink that soda I'll drink straight from the bottle regardless of size.
And if I get a can, or bottle (20 oz. up to a one-liter) I'll always drink from the bottle.

Glass bottle, they have a great feeling in the hand when cold, and you don't loose fizz ouring it out like if you were to use a glass.

Costco sells giant packs of glass Coke. I normally drink that because it's delicious. I will go out of my way to get glass bottles. They taste so much better because glass has no flavor, whereas metal and plastic do. I have sensitive taste buds on top of that. I can tell the difference between corn syrup and sugar, for example.

If there is no glass, I'll go for a can. I really don't like plastic.

Have had a glass bottle of soda at all but I gotta say Pepsi Throwback tastes horrible in a bottle, I've tried 2 separate bottles and ung. But in a can, it tastes fantastic, very strange.

I voted paper cup because fountain soda will often use a different kind of sugar than in bottles and cans (it's also typically more carbonated). If you ever wondered why fountain soda tastes different (better imo) that's probably why.

In the spirit of the poll though I actually voted for an aluminum can. If I could get fountain soda in a can that'd be the best. The can is just the perfect size. Plastic and glass bottles are too tall and always gettin up in my bznz.

EDIT - If I could have fountain soda in a drinking glass that would be tops. I'd pour my soda in drinking glasses but it's impossible to pour without losing significant carbonation. It's all about carbonation for me. That's why a soda sitting out for more than five minutes is probably only a tenth as when I first opened it. (Another reason I don't like bottles, i can't drink them as fast).

EDIT2 - Also aluminum cans are the only ones out of the choices that actually make any sense to recycle.

Glass bottles are classy but rare these days, so whatever it comes in.

However, when I get pop in a cup, I never use straws (hate them, think they are obnoxious) and almost never put a lid on, because I prefer to sip stuff. Classier that way.

I've yet to spill too, but I'm sure my time is coming...
