So how do you like to game?
do you use a console, or a pc? do you use both? do you use hand held consoles? maybe you like tabletop games, warhammer maybe? or more Role playing like D&D?
I personally like ma XBOX, my laptop for RTS games, a bit of warhammer fantasy and 40k on tabletop, aswel as bloodbowl, inquisitor and mordheim, which are fantasy sports, and Tabletop RPG's respectivly.

More than one above.

PC (laptop, soon to be desktop due to just getting a job, yay!)
PS3
PS2
PSP
Nintendo 64

Soon to be Xbox 360 and Wii

Whether I play one of those consoles or not entirely depends on the game I'm playing at the time and what platform it's on.

PC:
- Anything that's played from the first person perspective
- RPGs
- Strategy games
- Anything older than this generation
- Indie games

PS3:
- Sports games
- Exclusive strategy games or RPGs (Valkyria Chronicles, Demon's Souls)
- Racing games (though I only own NFS)
- Third person action/adventure games like say Batman: Arkham Asylum, Uncharted or GTA (because driving sucks with keyboard and mouse)

Wii:
- Not much. But there are a few good games that I can't get elsewhere: Zelda, Resident Evil 4, the Mario games.

Obviously lol, i wouldnt expect you to play all at the same time, however if you managed to do so, i would very much like to see that as a video lol

what i meant is there are some people who may own other consoles but pretty much soley game on 1 or may only own 1 type

Yea, what I meant by that is that I don't really play one specific console more than any other due any sort of preference and it really just comes down to the game I'm playing through at the time. Like, I don't go out of my way to just play games one on system especially at the moment where I couldn't usually be bothered setting up my laptop at a desk to play a game when I could just go play something on a console that's always set up and is more comfortable to play (couch = more comfortable than sitting up at a desk)

Although when I get a proper desktop computer to play games, I'll be specifically buying games which are better on the mouse and keyboard for PC like FPS, RTS, etc.

I stil dont get how an FPS is easier with a keyboard and mouse, admittedly i have only played 2 FPS games for pc but i much prefer my xbox pad to keyboard and mouse, though thats just me probably, though with RTS not so much the controls i prefer on the pc, but i dislike the limitations of the consoles for them. IE RTS games for pc you can assign up to 10 custom groups and usually dont have a population cap, where as on console games, most i have seen is 8 though 4 is the norm, and your pop cap is usually around 50 units.

Yea well I grew up gaming on the PC mainly so that's where I probably got my skill with the mouse and keyboard as opposed to the controller. I find that I'm much faster and accurate when aiming using it. I also find that I can work a lot faster with the mouse in an RTS compared to a controller and yes, I agree the limitation on them is really annoying.

Yes well im rather the opposite lol, i had only comsoles to game on until 2 years ago when i had my first laptop good enough to play games on, and oddly now due to me using a laptop and touchscreen pc in work all the time i cant use a mouse either i am quicker with my touchpad rather than a mouse :/ im an odd one indeed lol

lol. A similar thing has happened to me where I prefer using my laptop touchpad for most things because I've been using a laptop primarily for the last 3 years. The only real thing I use a proper mouse for is games still. Well games that require it. Games like Plants vs Zombies, I just use the touchpad.

I've got a PS3, a PC and an Xbox 360, and I love them in reverse order to the one listed. The only real way it's split is that I play MMOs on PC, apart from that there's no real pattern to which types of games I use on which system.

Ye i tried using my touchpad for the FPS games too, and i can play it ok, i just feel more comfortable with a good old pad in ma hands, with a mouse im all over the place lol.
Some people are still amazed when playing DOW2 that im using a touchpad on a laptop, and some people suprised im not using a tower pc to play games lol, ah how little some people know about what you need for games :p

PC and occasionally PS2, but well over 99% of it is on PC. I only really use the PS2 for 2-player Timesplitters 3 now.

I need more multiplayer PS2 games. And a multitap.

Right now I use the 360 and the PC, when I play 360 I play with my friends, we are usually screaming at the game because of "That stupid camper won't leave that corner, when I play PC I play alone and I like to be in a silent room because I mostly play S.T.A.L.K.E.R and if you listen closely that game has amazing sound.

Yay, drive forth the masses into the meat grinder, how do you prefer to play your guard? lots of squads, elite squads, or mechanised?

i prefer a few veteran squads and a couple of lemun russ to do my dirty work for me, but i can never stop myself from taking my 400 point hq every time

also i like tau :p

Handhelds... In this I include laptops as well. I got a gaming laptop and when I go on a long trip I always take it with me. If not - either my PSP or my DS are always with me.

lol. That's so true. Once I was versing a friend in Half Life 2 Deathmatch and while he was using a proper gaming desktop with mouse and all I managed to beat him with a trackpad lol. Must have felt humiliating. that being said though, I don't know how determined he was to kill me. We were playing around a bit but still.

I generally move around a lot on what system I play over the last 5 months I have played on the PS2,PS3,360,Xbox,DS,PSP,PC (a little),SNES and most recently the Wii it really just depends on what game I want to play.
Generally I prefer consoles to handhelds also I play card games a fair bit with friends (usually while drinking) and can play quite a number of games workshop tabletop war games, board games are also fun I used to play chess and checkers a lot but got burned out on them.
Come to think of it I actually play a lot of games even some sport occasionally but generally I am more of a single player person unless I know the others or at least my team (if there is one).
I have never tried roleplay always seemed a bit strange to me even if it looked interesting plus im not sure I could suspend my disbelief to actually play correctly.
