Poll: How do you play? Striker, defender, leader or controller?

It seems to me that in almost every game where different play-styles are available, from WoW to COD, the options for class, load-out or kit can be traced back to the four groups outlined in dungeons an dragons; the high-damage striker, the tank-like defender, the supportive leader, or the area-effect based controller. So I'm curious; across games, across genres, is there a play-style you prefer?

Edit: I'm striker: while I don't have the skills to sneak or snipe, I prefer bows and one-handed wepons in fantasy games, and play engineer in battlefield; while it's explosive based, I feel that it's a striking class because it concentrates damage on a single vehicular enemy.

I would say leader, because my skill level for games is pretty average across the board . So i prefer to sit back and let the better players do their thing while i reap the rewards of keeping them alive/ supplied.

EG in shooters i am the guy that runs about with the de-fibs and ammo crates ^_^

Or on TF2 i am often the engineer.

In L4D i am the guy that just keeps an eye on everyone, keeps track of where they are so i can help them if they get pounced or something.

So yeah, the support guy.

Striker fo' life!

I almost always play with a more precise style, preferably close range and stealthy.

In multiplayer context:

I always think of myself as a defender or being in a support role, as I'm naturally a team player and can see where the team's weakness is.

Unfortunately, that often ends up with me being pushed into a leadership role, which doesn't end well if I'm not expert at the game mechanics :p
