Gone Gonzo here, at your service. I post whenever I feel the need to, which usually means 3-4+ posts a day maybe.

I'm pretty new, and coming up on 500 posts. I guess that means, that I post alot.
And if that's your dog, you're pretty cool as well. Am I completely off track if I presume that's an Alaskan Malamute?
Well, I do have a malamute named Charlie, But the one in the picture is Laika. And he's a full-blooded wolf.

I have a post-count of over 1000; what do you think?

...but to be fair, that's not bad considering how long I've been here. I tend to take breaks when I'm at home and not procrastinating at University.
My thoughts exactly, give or take a thousand posts... >.>

I only registered to post 1 comment a while ago; then I left. Came back a little bit before the webby's this year, and have been posting sporadically since.

I post when I have an opinion to share. Or an idea. Or a recipe.

LATEST RECIPE:
Cereal + Milk = Milk & Cereal
My God, how did you think of such genius?? I've been eating my cereal with the blood of my enemies for years...

I find myself posting around here much more than I probably should in a single day. It a shame I lack interesting things to say, most of the time.
Huh? What? I wasn't interested in reading the words of your boring post after I saw the word blood. I kinda started thinking of a new recipe...

Ketchup + French Fries = French Fries w/ Ketchup

Awe-freakin'-some. My family's got a Malamute and a Husky, and I must say, I've never ever encountered better dogs. A friend of my dad's used to work with wolves, so I've learned a few things, though, I'm not close to knowing enough to actually try to interact with a domesticated wolf. I'd be quite apprehensive, I believe. What I can see, though, is a lot of similarities between your wolf and my malamute, which I guess isn't too strange since they've got a lot in common, right?

And a short and shameless addon; My name means "Wolf" in Norse ^^

My posting habits have dwindled massively in the past few months, for reasons I'm not entirely sure. Maybe 5 or so times a week, if even that much. I posted a lot in my earlier days, but have slowed down quite a bit due to just generally feeling like I have less to contribute to any given thread.

Or, otherwise, that I take too long to post and at the rate at which I finally get through threads, fifteen more have come up and I really don't have the patience to nail out a good post in each of them.

Mostly, now, I post when I feel like creating my own thread. A lot of my early posts were reviews or long rants, neither of which I've had the time nor creativity to hammer out lately. Even if I did feel the writer's spark, my ability to write reviews is limited to my ability to play and beat the games I'm reviewing. Without a PS3 or 360, or a modern PC, my selection of "games the readership would care about" is already comically slim.

Beyond that, I just don't feel like I have much to say anymore. My knowledge is geographical, cultural, or political things is thin enough for light conversation, much less the in-depth statements that go into making a post. Other than that, I really just don't have a lot to say in the terms of thread starting. If I read more news or following gaming companies more closely, I could probably have something interesting to say.

Most of what would've made up my 'light posts' now goes into the Escapist IRC which I regularly have open, so I don't feel the need to post anything unless it has some remarkable length to it, and most of what I really read from the gaming world comes from the News posts here on the Escapist, do everyone knows any news I'd have to share already.

So, overall, I just don't have much to say. If I do feel like posting, it's usually something I've thought about and try to fit into longer rants, which I often make threads for. Most times, the discussion that comes from those either falls on the "You're 100% right" or "You're 100% wrong", which doesn't produce a lot of room for discussion. Most of my posts otherwise are just short stories. I do have a review contest going now, which is coming close to being concluded right now, so that's eating up a lot of my Escapist time.

So, I guess I just never have enough to say to justify posting. So, three to five times a week, at most, and I'm on Escapist IRC a lot. That's pretty much it.

Well seeing as you have posted this topic I think you know how to post on the escapist...

I'm sorry, probably about 4 posts/day going by my post count/join date, most of it moronic crap like the sentence above.

Well I used to post at least twice a day, now even though I read every thread I might not post because I haven't got anything to say beyond a one line nothing.

They are similar in some ways. Laika is a Canadian breed, and Charlie is alot bigger than him. And most malamutes have thicker coats than wolves in general, and have thicker necks too.

As for being able to interact with them, most of the domesticated wolves that I have met, are extremely friendly, and approachable. Pitbull's on the other hand..../different story.
Laika himself couldn't hurt a fly, he's too silly to be aggressive.

I named Laika to sound like Lichenthrope, and Charlie was named when I got him.

My middle name means "born of the wolf", in, erm...some obscure language that I can't name without looking up. But all in all, the wolf is the ideal pet....followed closely by malamutes and german shepards.

Very insightful indeed. Well, I'm not too sure about the wolf, but you'll have vastly more experience than I, of course, so I'll take your word for it.

But now we've derailed the thread enough for one evening, I think. Good day, my dear sir.

I comment on anything I actually care about; then tend to wait ages for new topics to be posted. In the past week is posted a grand total of...59 times. Average of 8.5 times a day.

Why isn't Max in this thread yet?

Anyways, I'm sort of like the OP.
I go a while without posting much, if at all.
Then (as I have been recently) I become much more vocal in the forums.
It'll fade, though.
Thus the cycle repeats.

Depends really. Some days, not at all, other days... a dozen messages, easily.

Like right now, using the Escapist as a method to pass the time to wait until the Acute Pain call-line for the doctors office opens, seeing as I think I have an infected wisdom tooth and can't get to sleep due to pain.

So yeah, depends...
