Z of the Na said:
"Zed"? Seriously? Wow.

The first letter of my name starts with "Z". Zach. How am I supposed to pronounce my own name if I pronounced the letter "z" as "zed"?!

Needless to say, I pronounce the letter "z" as "zee". You know, the way it is supposed to be pronounced here in America.
Z is still used and pronounced the same way when in words or names. It's only called Zee or Zed when talking about the individual letter.

I pronounce is Zee

Zee, I've never heard of this Zed non-sense. I guess it's cause I'm American, I don't have much exposure to any other variant of English except for Ebonics. An Jay-Zed doesn't sound right to them either.

Both. I guess it depends on who I'm talking to. It's not like I get the chance to use it very often.

I say both depending on what I feel like saying. Zee is how I usually hear it during the ABC song :p

As an Australian, "zed".
Interestingly enough, I said "zee" in my head when I read the topic title. Funny.

Wait... people actually call it "zed"?

I thought that line from Shaun of the Dead:

"Don't say that!"
"Say what?"
"The... Zed word."

was a play on the letter "z" and the word "dead".

Fuckin' hell. I could never call it zed for that reason alone, nevermind that I was raised on zee.

I had no idea that there was a pronunciation other than 'Zee'... I'm gonna start using 'Zed' now that I know though. Damn America for not teaching me properly!
