I normally sit either 4 legs or with my feet up.

But i have a friend who has trouble sitting in any of the positions in the poll because he's got his head up his ass.

This is where one leg is at a 90 degree angle while you are sitting on the other one. This is how I was sitting when she said I sat feminely
I take this to mean your right foot or ankle is resting on top of your left knee or thigh (or vice versa). How the hell can that be feminine? The legs are wide apart at the crotch. I have visions of a prudish middle-aged "nanny" character telling off her female charge for sitting in an unladylike manner.

OT: I sit in all the ways described, and change frequently.
No one the leg that would be resting atop the knee is instead underneath me, like kneeling with one knee

I sit weird at home, like in a sideways ball on my chair, I'm flexible (probably because of the 7 years or whatever of gymnastics as a child) so I have lots of weird sitting postures. The more normal ones are one foot crossed under my other leg, or one foot over the other. I like curling into balls, it's comfy. I've noticed on the bus now when I'm sat at the back I like putting my feet up on the other chair and slouching into a ball.

Fuck it, just give me any opportunity to curl into a ball and I will.

In my awesome desk chair that rocks, leaned all the way back or all the way forward, never inbetween.

I often sit cross-legged, but most of the time I take the most ridiculous positions, like sitting upright but with the left leg on the table (my keyboard is on a retractable below the desk surface), or leaning back, both legs on the table, left arm in between.

Legs crossed so people can't see up my skirt. Makes sense!
Oh so true...
Personally, if I'm in jeans/shorts/sweats etc. I tend to sit on one leg. Terrible for the circulation, but oh well.
You'll give yourself a nice bung leg doing that!

Ass down, face up.

OK OK, now that I've read the thread, I usually sit with my left leg over the arm of the chair and my body supported by the right arm. People hate it, so I try not to do it while I'm out. It also makes me look kind of like a fat lump of shit.

Legs crossed. I know it's not very manly and all, but I just slip into that stance by default. Dunno why.
Same here, I find it more comfortable, but I quickly change to two legs whenever someone walks into the room.

Provided the chair is big enough (and if I'm not wearing a dress or a skirt), I always feel way more comfortable sitting cross legged. Otherwise, I shift around a lot between all the others, so they don't really count. I'm sitting cross legged on my couch right now.

On a chair? Usually just the standard way. Left too long, however, I tend to deviate from that norm; occasionally I sit cross-legged, because that's they way we had to sit on the ground in primary school, and it's basically a natural inclination now.

I start sitting normally with both feet on the floor, but always end up sitting with one leg tucked underneath the other (so sitting on one leg), and leaning on my left elbow, with my hand on my chin. Yes, the thinking look. *nods importantly*

Usually two legs, as you put it, though lately I've been shifting around a lot.

I usually start out sitting with my legs crossed, and end up shifting into the Death Note "L" position, then my feet go numb and I slip back to legs crossed.

The pattern repeats endlessly till I go do something else.
