Epidemic? Don't you mean pandemic?

And anyway, it's stupid thinking that humanity will die out due to disease. After all, for that to happen, you would need a disease that could kill before you could get treatment, and if it was that fast, how could it spread?

Personaly the most plausable outcome is a meteor.

i believe that the most likely, earthly outcome, will be either world nuclear war OR another ice age as a result of global warming 'cos the earth's balance will make it colder through a series of processes that would take to long to write and i have a life to tend to along with this so those of you who want exlainations: FUUUUUUUUUCK NOOOOOOOOO

Any ideas?

The following would not cause the end of the world:

Bioterrorism - Well it's 'bio' so life would continue, also the contamination would not reach or be compatible with all species, certainly not all forms of life.

Epidemic - Bioterrorism comments.

Famine - There's always a food source for some creatures.

Anarchy - We already live in a state of Anarchy, that's why there is crime and so on. In any case, this would not end the world.


Events that could end the world:

Meteor - A sufficiently large meteor could end the world in its current form, perhaps even knock it into the sun.

Nuclear war - With sufficient power could have the same effect as a meteor.

Nanotechnology - If it could alter things at the cellular level then nano technology could destroy all life.

Aliens - If they had the means they could destroy the planet.

FYI - There's a meteor heading near earth Earth, it has been estimated to have a 1 in 45,000 chance of hitting on April 13th 2036.

All I have to say is that we are the monsters so if this world is going to end any way it's going to be because as a race us humans are dumb and ignorant as a general population.

I'm continuously amazed when humanity is referred to as a 'dumb species'. We're the smartest goddamn things on the planet!

In all seriousness, however, I don't think the world will ever really "end" humans are like cockroaches, we'll find a way to survive and when we leech this planet dry we'll go somewhere else. But I also have some faith in mankind and think there is some hope out there that we can stave off nuclear conquest for a little while longer. *waves tiny Obama flag*

Like once you hit a certain age you gain respect, sure, but you lose ability and function and you eventually die.
It can become a day of honor for the elderly: the day they are chosen, roasted and then devoured by however many people it takes to eat a person.
