YY/MM/DD mainly just to confuse people. Maybe I should start writing it DD/YY/MM or YY/DD/MM.

Well I use MM/DD/YY
Though in German class we write it DD/MM/YY.
I guess its a cultural difference.

I prefer to use D/M/Y since it makes more sense (order of size) however all of the official forms that I have to fill out use M/D/Y.

I suppose when you speak the date you tend to say it that way.

While it makes perfect logical sense to go DD/MM//YY; I live in America and therefore it is programed into my brain to go MM/DD/YY.

I live in America so I have to date paperwork 10/19/10.

For myself I use either 19/10 or October 19, 2010.

When I'm at work I have to write month/day/year because that's the way the systems work. But when I'm writing it for anything else, I go year/month/day. Because I do almost everything on the computer, and that way it automatically sorts itself chronologically from oldest to newest without any hassle. :D

I think it's only America that uses M/D/Y, could be wrong though.
you are correct, as usual the americans like to do it "differantly" as they would put it, like the english language. But the rest of us wouldn't say differantly, more just Wrong.
