I voted a 3. I've been watching through Supernatural, and most of the stuff that's 'scary' hasn't made me jump. But then I remembered in FEAR 2, where you find a civilian holding a briefcase, and he twitches out and like, teleports everywhere. That was crazy, creeped me out.

Also, when things suddenly and unexpectedly jump out from nowhere, that makes me jump.

I do ok. I get easily immersed in games/movies, so if its meant to scare me, there's a good chance it will.

Paradoxically, I'm more scared when I least expect to be, whereas I'm literally stone cold whenever I enter the universe of a "horror" movie/game, because I expect to be scared. So, I guess halfway between 3 and 4.

I can laugh in the face of fear, but I let myself become a wussy to enjoy slightly scary more. Half-Life 2 is more fun when you become completely scared shitless of poison headcrabs, even though they don't actually scare me at all.

This has an odd side effect, though; I can't accurately judge how scary a game really is. System Shock 2 is about as scary as Oblivion, as far as I'm concerned.

I'm veeeery easily startled. Got that from my mom I guess, 'cause she can jump at anything. Though I have sit through many horrorgames. I just HATE getting jumpscares.

I've never seen a movie that really frightened me and I honestly love creepy atmospheres, even in real life. I find something exhilarating about darkness and creepiness... Anything that makes bright, living reality seem a distant haven.

If you'd asked me a few years ago I'd have beena 2 or a 1, but now I can make it through most horror games now.

I couldn't decide which poll to choose because while I do scream/jump in every small thing in a horror game - I do play it to the end. Those long nights of dead space - I'll never forget - /cries/ But yeah. It's fun to play through the horror - hell It might get me over it one day lol.

first experience I ever had with a horror moment in a video game was in halo: combat evolved when the flood first showed up. I was scared so much I stopped playing for 3 weeks and slept in a blanket cocoon lmfao. now I'm fine with it though, horror really grows on ya.

well the only game to really truly scare me has been silent hill 2. i do jump at the chapscares a lot, only because its a reflex. but when a game has the power to terrify me i know its good, and thats why i play them. the last movie to do that to me was the fourth kind.

I couldn't even finish Dead Space... I don't like the feeling of being terrified.

One of the biggest jumps I've had in a long time is playing Left 4 Dead and opening a door to find a Tank less than 30cm away from me preparing a Falcon Punch.

Back when I was a kid I got overly scared by scary music. On Banjo Kazooie, I didn't want to go in Grunty's Lair at all because I was scared of the music that plays when crossing the bridge to get there. If the audio was right (or wrong, perhaps), it could be the only scary thing and it would still be enough to scare me.

I'm not at all like that now, though.

well when it comes to movies i have yet to get scared at anything since i was 9, but video games are a whole different story

i can play through them, will jump when they get a jump scare out of you, which is fine, thats what scares me the most

creepiness kind of does, as usually i will be running low on health or the such and i freaking hate knowing there is something coming up, just dont know exactly when.

i have this weird thing though, where anytime i play any kind of survival game or horror game, i immediately have dreams about it, (try having a dream after play 4 hours of l4d2, its one of the most exhilirating and craziest things i have woken up from, that bastard AI in the dream was just as difficult as usual) so i tend to stay away from them now a days, as i wake up sweating like a pig during 100 degree weather, and end up panting like i just ran a 5 mile sprint

so probably a 2.5
