How far do you go in the attempt to get achivements.Do you get every single one or are they just there.

*If you have one, tell a story about how far you went.*

For Team Fortress 2, I do try and get them when I can, partly because they unlock the extra equipment.

The rest of the time, I do sometimes try for them as an extra challenge, especially when I've completed the game normally.

Its always nice to hear that little popping noise now and again, but not important, I know some people who buy games purely because they know they'll get that magic 1000... i.e. all the madden games, naruto, that kinda crap

I go for achievements that are feasible. Many games have achievements that are all easily doable - they may take time to do, but they're doable, and overall, not that difficult. Games like Mass Effect, Fallout 3, Assassin's Creed.

Other games have ridiculous requirements for their achievements, like Blue Dragon.

I'm not going to stress myself over achievements that would just stress me out.

I also don't go for Online achievements.

I usually play through the entire game without looking at them. When I finish I might go back though, just out of curiosity, and get the ones that seem fun or easy.

Usually if I REALLY love a game, I'll go through another replay for the main purpose of achivement whoring.

Depends. I was going to do 'Little Rocket Man' in Half-Life 2 ep2 until I realised that doing that would probably detract from my enjoyment of the game, having to take that gnome with me everywhere. If an acheivment detracts from the fun of the game I won't do it.

If I ever tried to get all pigeons in GTA4 I would pat myself on the back...followed by blowing my brains out.

I like a challenge. For example, in Prince of Persia, normally I wouldn't care about doing the 14-hit combo, but hey, there's an achievement for it, so let's experiment with combos.

i am determined to get all acheivments except for the really hard or anoying ones such as finding all the birds in GTA but one of the hardest ones i am most proud to get would have to be mile high club from call of duty 4

I usually just let them happen. Playing a game and the little box pops us, all the better
