Some kind of interdimensional error has occurred. There are as of the writing of this post five #1 gamers and counting.
If they ever met on the same server, the universe might collapse!

I'm suprised to see that people actually voted for Average. I mean, noobs don't know that they're noob, so they will say stuff like: I will pwn u! and: I'm teh best. But in reality they suck and don't even know it. This poll proves that beacuse Average isn't the option that got the most votes, while Average means that most people should be at that level, wich means that people are lying, wich proves my point. All I want to say is is that you won't get any valid, honest results out of this, so why bother trying.

It depends. It really depends on my Posture, my Mindset, my Emotional Set, and the people I'm playing against.

In Games I am not the best but I will support the best player I can find rather than rage-quitting. For example in Battlefield I am the guy who will take the passenger seat so I can repair the car.I'm the guy who shoots your murderer and brings you back to life. Not to say that I am a complete failure at games I'm just the guy that will do anything to make sure the team's Victory is uncompromised. In some cases I will have to make sacrifices being the distraction or taking the fire so my teammate can run.My life is nothing if it means the team can win.

I am not the best competitively but I am a valid team member.
This, I'm always the one who sacrifices myself to hold them off for my team to regroup. I'm also always backup for the best players, healing them covering them and helping them out. I would say I am average.

People have claimed me to be a ''semi-pro'' at zombie based fps's. I seriously don't think that is correct.

I'm about average. Perhaps lower. I can aim, shoot and move. What more do y'need?

I'm gonna echo the sentiments of a few people already, I'm good and have my "in the zone" moments and then there are the cold, maddening, but completely typical and expected "meat sim days" where I'm just gettin my ass kicked. It happens and I don't let it frustrate me, I know I have my good days so it balances out. Vega in SF IV rarely disappoints me but sometimes I just don't execute and my opponent may be on top his game at that time. As Soap said in MW2 "I suppose it's all just a day at the races, bet on the losing horse and this is what happens"

I'm OK at most games I play, but I wouldn't say I'm fantastic. I used to be awesome at Tekken 4, my old school had a day where people could bring in their consoles. Someone brought in a PS2 and I had a winning streak of about 15.

Jack of all trades, king at none.
I'm usually adept at a new game, unless it's in a genre that I just plain suck at (like realistic racing games or 3D fighters).

The consequence is that at lanparties, I always end up second or top three in a competition, missing out on the prizes each and every time, losing to a person who plays nothing but that specific game.
Oh well, as long as it's all fun, I guess... it's just hilarious to be beating level 70 people in CoD when I'm still trying to figure out what the perks do (and unlocking). (And yes, in that CoD4 compo, I ended second, yay.)

Okay, so far a few have said that they are gaming Deities, most have said that they are above average, some have said that they are average, but no one so far has said that they're crap. I know that it's in your best interests as gamers to keep your self-esteem running high, but it is obvious that opinions will always be biased to the person who has them. I better question would have probably been, "how good do your friends think you are at gaming?"
On subject, I believe that you cannot simply be good at gaming. There are too many categories and genres to be good at gaming.

You need a "below average" option, but I now went with "suck every time"

My strength lies more in dedication and trial & error than actual skill :p
