Poll: How good are you at shooters? And what shooter games do you play mostly these days?

The only shooter I really play with others is Left 4 Dead. I've never played any of the CoD or Halo games simply because... I don't want to. -shrug- I always jump on the bandwagon too late and I'm trying to stop doing that. I play Fallout and Borderlands, but I refuse to play the latter online. I can't stand people chittering away while I'm acting out my fantasies of being a professional sniper.

And I'm pretty decent. Heads explode a lot when I'm-- END SENTENCE, BEGIN ANEW.

And I'm a pretty good shot. I've gotten over 150 headshots in one campaign on more than one occasion.

My main problem is changing consoles.

I usually play PC, cause my xbox is busted. But most of my friends have PS3s, so i have to keep asking "WHERE THE HELLS THE GRENADE BUTTON?!?!" "Square!" "SQUARE? WTF KINDA BUTTON IS SQUARE!"

I'm a bi-polar online shooter. Some games I'll go really well, other times I'll fall to my death, run into my own grenade, or get knifed by the guy who just spawned behind me.

solid at Quakelive, improving. Fantastic at TF2, and.... basically im way above average on every fps just cause of dedication level.

most of the time i do fine usually top 10. always swings from either doing great to super horrible, but i stay in the middle ground a fair bit as well so egh i can hold my own

It depends. Sometimes I suck and come dead last, and other times I slaughter everything in sight.

I was pretty good at sof2 and played with one of europes best clans(nd) , then after sof died i went to cod4 were i did fairly good. Nowadays with the lack of good fps's for the pc I play the shit game that is MW2 on xbox360 and top the scoreboard on a regular basis.

I play Bad Company 2, and my K/D is a little over 1.1, so I guess I'm pretty good at shooters.

Depends on how i feel that day, generally im good enough to scare certain kinds of people, other days the god of thunder grants me his power of mayhem. In Bad Company 2 i have become known to my friends for charging down the hill AT the attackers and slaughtering them with all of the weapons i have including the smiting hand of god and thors hammer. Its funny watching the attacking team run away from the objective. Then... some days thor tells me to go to hell and i bide my time, hiding in a shipping container where a lone grenade tossed from a level zero will find its way.

I play L4D, L4D2, CSS, TF2 & DOD. I hold my own. Never really got into the newer games with the whole level up your character thingy. I just want to play a game, pick whatever class suits me at the time and work with my team to win the map. I like the simple format that needs no changes, gimmicks or hooks.

*edit* I used to play BF1942 & UT series, but I ran out of friends that still play it. I also think that Serious Sam is the best mindless shooter series ever.

It depends a lot, I'm of the opinion that FPSs should never've been on consoles (so I'm rubbish in Halo f.ex. but I'm divine when it comes to close combat, scoring 15 kills in Grifball without dying etc), and in CS I can easily win a gungame, but I get slaughtered by everyone else (I play about once a month), In HL multiplayer I get slaughtered, in HL2DM I'm a tempest of blood and in BF2 I usually just go for revives since the rest of the world's'd several years to rack up some skills. BUT in TF2 I rarely go below 6/1 K/D (depends on class though), I can headshot any moving target and at top I've headshotted 25 people without dying.
Sooooo... I'm a little unstable.
