Music, like all of the other arts, was invented to create order in chaos. Music puts sense into noise, which can be anything as chaotic as a big city or as beautiful as a river. To not appreciate music is to be a force of destruction in the world. As such, highly important, but not the most important thing in my life.

I'm not going to lie. Music affects my emotions more than anything else in the universe. It feels like music is the only thing that can make me feel emotions sometimes.

Heh, all this "Music is Life" stuff keeps making me think of this shirt:

Anyway, music isn't all that important to me. Sure, I love listening to music, but it's not something I do all the time. I mostly just listen to music when I drive, with the windows down, singing really loudly.

Music is vital.
Imagine a world where music had never been invented.
You'd never have a tune stuck in your head.

While I'm not of the "constantly needs his iPod or he'll die" persuasion, I like to put some music on while I'm driving or playing games or working out or just surfing the net. Other times, I need to concentrate, so the music goes off. Strangely enough, I never listen while walking. I used to, but I don't anymore.

I listen to music and sing all the time, but I wouldn't say it's so important as to be my lifeblood. However, I'd probably go nuts without it.

It's very important to me. I really enjoy music and all the emotions it can evoke, and how it changes moods. Identifying with music is something that I like to do. Music is also often my muse.

Music to me is as important as breathing. And I'm guessing it is too for a lot of you. I can't imagine a day without music.

I'm the son of a musician, I am a musician... Music runs through these veins and I can not deny it. I love music and I would be a very depressed individual if there wasn't any.

It's nice, but at the same time- I've gone days of doing the usual day-to-day and going home and doing some writing reports and other things, boring work or general stuff on the computer, and it's been completely silent. There are a few times that I think that music would be awesome at that moment, but its usually a secondary action.

Not to mention that most of my surfing on the internet also involves not only reading a lot but also videos, etc. Music can disrupt that, or can distract if I get to a song that I know by heart.

Music is an integral part of my life; without it I would almost certainly go mad. Even when I'm not actively listening to music, I'm still listening to music - there is a bewildering catalog of possible options for my brain to start playing in the background; I have a real knack for remembering tunes, which I suppose comes with being a musician (classically trained pianist, vocalist).

When it comes to interactions with others regarding music, there I take on my character of the "musical evangelist", proclaiming the good word about that which is wonderful far and wide (or more accurately, to anyone who reads the reviews I write about various obscure albums, or has some other interaction with me wherein the topic of music comes up in some way (no matter how tenuous the connection might be)).

It's fantastic, but I wouldn't cease to exist without it.

I would mourn the passing of Akira Yamaoka for weeks, though.
