a good deal

he can be the deciding difference between two games if I was going to buy a game but was confused.
Also I will give games a better chance if Yahtzee says they're good

but I won't blindly follow his judgments

Painkiller, Psychonaughts, Bioshock, Killer 7, and No More Heroes were purchased purely on Yahtzee and were dead on for me. He generally doesn't review games that I'll buy if I buy a game, which is few and far between. He is defiantly a factor if the game has been reviewed but not a deal breaker if it is fun.

Funny, but I don't care about what he actually says about a game unless it's something really bad. I've bought and enjoyed a lot of things he says were bad.

None. I've never avoided or bought a game solely based on his opinion. I enjoy trying things and then forming my own.

He's funny and I view him for amusment, not for advice.
He's to grumpy to be a good advice-style reviewer

He's possessed with an amazing ability to precisely nail the annoyance factor in any game, so his opinions are gold. But what separates him from the pack of ranting web folk are those missiles he launches at pop culture idiocy. When you add the let's-not-f*ck-around rapid-fire delivery style, you have as close to a perfect weekly review vid as can be reasonably imagined.

He has no influence over me.

He is a funny reviewer, I can be a funny reviewer [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/326.154963] too!
Whenever you're not invading France that is
No one touches France.

What is it about the world that makes them think France makes a good battle ground?, can't people go to war in places no one cares about like the Birmmingham UK.

OT, no influence whatsoever.

I mainly watch his videos for laughs and when I find that he's reviewing a game that I've been following, rented or considering buying I take them a just a tad more seriously and maybe get abit angry or happy depending on how much he likes or hates a game

Funny as he may be, I don't see Yahtzee as the second coming of comedy Jesus. Just a pretty funny, normal guy. Noting more, nothing less.

As for influence, I guess he's influenced me a bit. I do find myself talking faster than usual. :p

I enjoy watching every Wednesday, but he doesn't have any effect on what I buy. One exception being that his review of Painkiller made go out and pick it up right away.

His reviews are certainly entertaining and I look forward to them. I can't put my finger on why I enjoy his reviews so much. Maybe it's his rapier wit or his commentary on popular culture and gaming in general. Probably just the accent though.
But I play a game because it interests me, not just because friends/reviewers recommend it. I'm pretty certain Yahtzee would never play the Ace Attorney games but god help me I love them. However now that I'm thinking about it, wouldn't it be awesome if he secretly did. :D

''Yahtzee's hilarious reviews are what I look forward to on a Wendsday, but I'll have to see what my friends think about a game he reviews before I go just on his recommendation.''
I agree with Yahtzee on most of things, but my opinion is more important to me. I have never disagreed with Yahtzee, but if he says that he does not like a game that i like, well ok, he would have his points to don't like the game. It will probably make me look more closer to the game, but i would still like it.

Honestly, who are the 3 that actually voted to wanting to have Imp Babies inside them?

Yahtzee can get 2 companies to actually pay attention to reviews over their work on the internet, draw eachother's menfolk in women's clothing (complete with a Rainbow and a Unicorn), and submit it to a contest with absolutely no gain to themselves, but he seems to have less impact on the gamers that watch him. I find that weird yet amusing... like a (Insert beating something hard yet losing to something easy reference).

Also, I actually do get half my news from Steve Colber. But then I check the actual news to see how much he's leaving out and bullshitting and stuff.
