Seeing as my topic-starting-fu seems weak, and my previous poll decided to not actually *have* a poll for reasons mysterious, I have tried again.

I'm curious about how educated the Escapist-using public is. Most of the people I associate with offline are all college-educated professionals, but when you get online, you meet a vast cross-section of people. So, I was wondering how much formal schooling we Escapists have.

I'd love to know what major you are/were, too, if you're willing to divulge. If you're not in college yet, then obviously you don't have a major; instead, if you're planning going to college, what do you want to major in?

Oh, and I figure, if I'm asking, I should divulge myself:

Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Graphic Design

EDIT: I was foolishly and ignorantly amiss to assume that everyone here was from / familiar with American education system. I've tried to explain the options so that everyone here is at least sorta going of the same scale...

High school = the highest "required" public-funded education available. IE:"secondary school",
Associates (AA)= 2 year post-high-school degree, typically very specialized. Often given at a trade or technical college.
Bachelor's (BA, BFA or BS)= 4 year post-high-school degree, typically specialized in one area of study (major), sometimes with other specializations if the student is so bold (minor). Typically includes at least one year of additional general education. Taught at major colleges and universities.
Masters (MS, MBA, etc.)= 2 year degree earned after your Bachelor's. Often, but not always, focused on one particular aspect of your Bachelor's degree. Typically taught at major colleges and universities.

Will have a Bachelor's of Science, honours physics by the end of 2010.

Hopefully I'd have a Masters degree by the time 2013 rolls around.

Yeah... all that bored me... I learnt a lot about partying at college though.
That's good... right?...

Currently an undergraduate at uni, studying to be a Master of Engineering (I love that title), with honours Chemical Engineering.

Though it's increasingly likely I'll fail if I don't quit the internet and do some god-damn lab reports.

I'm in high school, and it sucks. There is no redeeming value at high school for me.
Goddamn, I hate it so.

I'm currently in Grade 11 in High School. I really don't want to grow up either, because I still don't really know what I want to do with my life. The thought of having to pick a college or university by next year, and knowing some people who have picked where they're going already, scares the crap out of me.

Finishing up my first year of University. I took a massive clusterfuck of different courses, resulting in me having general knowledge in English, Economics, Political Sciences, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Sciences, and German.

However, as of next year, I will be fully focused on the Computer Sciences, pursuing a minor in Business along the way.

I'm well learned! No way I'm doing anything more though. I finished High School in '05 and I hated it. The whole idea of classes/lectures puts me to sleep. Uni/collage etc. is over-rated anyway. I got a job in a specialised field and I never did the course for it.

Formally in HS, but the way most people in my school live, it might as well be an early college education.

I don't know exactly what I want to major in yet, although it'll probably come down to History and Business. Or I could go through pre-Law, but it really depends on the programs colleges offer. So far, McGill seems like my #1 option (which is absolutely fine by me, I consider it a cost-efficient solution), which would have me leaning towards business.

I have a foundation degree, but I only really actually studied to college level. I have my A-Levels, but I'm 2 months off the end of my BTEC course in games design, which means I'll have the equivalent of... 8 A-levels?

I am a Bachelor of Letters in Law (with Honours).

I regret it these days. It was immediately obvious that I never wanted to practice since, to date (some 15 years after graduation) every single lawyer that I have met in person has been a total dicksplash.

Wish these days that I had done History (which I love) or English Lit. Both of which would have demonstrated equally well my ability to read/analyse/research/conclude large amounts of info.

I conclude that each layer of pre-degree education is nothing but a sorting process. Students are not given a deep understanding of a subject, just instructions on how to pass an exam.

I've almost got my bachelors degree.

It's funny how time flies. It seems like just last week I was a crazy little guy who would put underwear on his head and go running down the street screaming at the top of my lungs. And since you ask, no it was not last week.
