We all know that the popularity of arcades pretty much died with the eighties. However, some arcades do still exist. When was the last time you played an arcade game?

I can't even remember the last time I played an arcade game. I do believe it was at a Dave and Busters, though. Anyone know the one where you pilot mechs in an actual cockpit while facing a lot of other people? That thing was freakin' cool.

At our local Bowling alley they have an arcade section. Played jurassic park where you sit in the jeep a few weeks back. We beat the game too :D. It was showing its age though. Loads of the backgrounds and textures were merging into each other. The T-rex that was mostly coloured like a pepsi machine was quality.

This past weekend. First time in a long time, and probably gonna be the last time for a while.
Time Crisis 4. I can get to the first boss fight in one credit before he tears me apart (I don't think he gets the red you're-about-to-be-shot warning)

What's an Arcade anyways? Did Xbox make up a word or something? WTF is Xbox Live ARCADE?

OT: Never been to one. Had the chance. Didn't care.

It's been a while actually. I haven't even been near an arcade for a couple months at the most.

Within the last few months I have gone to a Dave & Busters, when I was in Tempe, Arizona I ended up at a near Sega Gameworks Arcade thing.

It was fun, I played a lot of the Rambo arcade, but it was so bloody expensive.

(HOW EXPENSIVE WAS IT?)

Well, voice-in-my-head, it was so expensive they do not even use tokens anymore, it is all plastic. Put it in a credit card and convert it to "points" all you want I still know that I am paying two bucks a game.

It was fun though, made me feel younger again.

What about at the cinema? Does that count?
I am always out to them a few times a week and though I personally do not go, I know they all have a corner for Air Hockey, games of chance, DDR & Guitar Hero now.

Your poll lacks an option for a few years ago so I didn't put anything.

Yeah, during my gap year between high school and Uni I spent a whole lot of time on the Crazy Taxi machine at the local arcade. It was the only game I played. A lot of my friends liked going to the arcade to do stuff like DDR and other rhythm games or shooters, so I would tag along and try to set new high scores on the San Francisco map. God I miss that game.

There's a PC port of that game but the soundtrack is different, it controls weird, and the performance is horrible because it hasn't been optimized at all.

Actually I voted wrong in the poll. Forgot Dave and Busters for some reason, that was a few months ago. I put that I didn't remember

I haven't been to my Brunzwiks Zones Arcade in forever. I haven't even gone bowling in a while. But it was fun times. Ghost Squad was my favorite game and then I got it on my Wii and I finished the whole thing!!!!........ then I sold the game.

A few years ago maybe. I think every arcane in my area is closed, aside from the little game corners in like movie theaters or Walmart.
