Once the Enclave shows up, if you have even a moderate repair skill you can make as much as you care to haul away just by cannibalizing their high value equipment. Also, given the lack of anything I actually care to buy...

How much gods-damned ammo you need? I find three 5.56mm rounds fired from stealth (courtesy of the Chinese Stealth Armor from Operation Anchorage and the Infiltrator from The Pitt) in VATS is enough to kill almost anything, and what it isn't enough to kill only takes six rounds. What are you doing, laying down suppressive fire?

My first save (The Noble Murderer) has about 2,000.

My second save (The Evil Bastard) has 500-ish, thanks to his recent voyage to Point Lookout.

I can't even remember what my third save (The Diplomat Brawler) has. Probably not much, 'cause of all the Stimpaks an Unarmed character requires.

What are you doing, laying down suppressive fire?

I have the habit of hording everything I come across, selling it when I have the time, and buying anything weightless that is slightly useful to me; I just couldn't find vendors with enough ammo or stimpaks to slow the rate I gained money.

I had 48,000 caps in my last game of Fallout.... Maybe it's my personality, but I pick up literally EVERY item that's worth at least 10 caps, and then I sell it. Seriously, taking out a band of 3 raiders usually means me picking up over 100 kg of stuff. They're pretty useless, but.... eh?

The Evil one has like 300 because small guns love ammo, and I love shooting them.Also stimpaks, glorious health for when I run into three goddamn albino radscorpions. evil bastards at bethesda I swear to atom. :\
The Good one has about 4 grand because the enclave is rolling in the mad duckets yo.[sub]wtf is wrong with me[/sub]
The Neutral guy has all of 15, because I have barely played him and he hasn't gotten much further than megaton.

I always just bought and sold items to shops, if they have two of the item, you buy the cheaper one and sell it back a few times, and lots of money for you

seriously, 29 caps on combat armour, then sell it back for 299, its also means that you can buy stuff from them and get your caps back, therefore, FREE STUFF
