1. Black Ops 3. And really, only because I wanted to play it with my friends while they were stilll enthusiastic.

Anything single player can wait. Anything multiplayer I'm not sure about can wait. And if its community doesn't last six months, then I didn't really miss out. The exceptions I make are for games that I'm going to be playing socially with friends.

Where's the 0 for those of us who don't think any game is worth the full price? $50+ for Fallout 4?!
Yeah I'll wait 2 weeks for the patches, updates, inevitably snarky reviews and a 30% price drop.
Thanks.
2 weeks? Hope you don't plan on the game running. It's prooooobably going to take a while longer.

Nothing that I recall, but it's been a long year. I picked up a couple of things close to launch with sneaky discounts, but I haven't paid full retail for anything.

Just don't really feel it, I don't really feel like I'm enjoying half of the new games that are coming out, and I go through my massive list of things I've got on steam, and none of them look like they'll give me any joy.

I am looking forward to picking up The Witcher 3 and The Phantom Pain when they're a little less pricey, and the PC version of GTA V.

Uh... *counts with both hands and feet* Just one so far... Granted, it was the Collector's Edition of Tales of Zestiria, so that was basically over 120 bones for a game I can't play because I lack the system to play it on the first place...

Other that than, unless you also count pre-paying for the physical copy of 2017's Them's Fightin' Herds, that's still one game I bought at full price this year...
I bought that too... And the Steam version. So 2 counting Tales of Zestiria.

My third game was Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate (New 3DS bundled with it).

I don't mind paying full price for games and really why should I? Even buying games at full price games are in fact cheap considering how long each game lasts. A short game lasts 10 hours. A long movie lasts 2 hours. On average buying a newly released movie is about one third of a newly released game, if you want to binge watch newly released movies on a lazy Saturday you could easily end up spending more on movies than you would on a game. With the game you'd likely be unable to finish it it one day, but 3 movies can be done before dinner. I've clocked more than 200 hours in Monster Hunter 4 and I have probably done about half the quests in the game so far. Even considering the fact that I bought a game system to go with that it's still by far the least I have spent on entertainment per hour this year. Yes, I know quantity isn't a good indicator, but it does put things into perspective.

If a long movie costs you $10 an hour and a short game costs you $6 an hour, why do we complain about the games rather than the movies?

Seeing as I only just upgraded to a PS4, I can count the games that I bought this year on one hand.

I did buy Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask for the 3DS at full price and paid extra for the collectors edition with the poster and badge and what have you. The other would be the season pass for Life is Strange. I don't regret either.

I will be getting Fallout 4 at full price when it comes out next month. But I think that will be it for this year. Next year will be expensive though.

I ain't counting the preorders I have still got to come (Fallout 4, Need for Speed) but I do follow a lot of games and will buy them at launch, usually already have a few quid knocked off anyway.

Really? Your poll doesn't have 0? Why would I buy any game for full price if I can save an easy 25% by waiting at most a few months for a Steam sale? I have scores of games as well as other entertainment.

how about, none? Since no games have really impressed me, I kind of diverge from the sheeple mindset and I'm financially responsible to a degree

Only one, that is Resident Evil Revelations 2, on PS3. Bought digitally, which costs nearly as much as the damn disc with *all* the content on it. Just so I can play Raid Mode with a friend who was so into it. And he doesn't even have a PS3 anymore (dammit!!!)

Other than that, I've gotten a whole bunch of games, inc. Witcher 3, Shadowrun, Space Hulk Ascension, Dirt Rally, Killing Floor 2, Outlast, Car Mechanic Simulator 2015, Project CARS and a bunch of others I'm not even sure came out this year, but none at full price (I'm guessing Early Access games don't count either).

I bought both Saints Row IV: Definitive Edition (which is SRIV + Gat out of Hell on current gen) day one for full price which was £30.

I also bought Wolfenstein: The Old Blood on launch week for £15.

I got the Dishonored: Definitive Edition bundle with my PS4, but I'm not so sure that counts.

I'm (probably) gonna get Call of Duty: Black Ops III at launch as well, now that the beta has shown that at least the multiplayer is going to be amazing.

Three from what I can tell.

Shadowrun Hong Kong, The Witcher 3, and Undertale.

Got quite a long list of possibles, but nothing currently pre-ordered, so will keep my answer to 3.

Probably way over 50 games. It would be easier to count the games which I didn't pay full price for! :p
I got no self restraint hehehe...

Cheers.

Where's the 0 option? Last game I paid full price for was portal 2. There are decades of games worth playing and I can save so much money by not buying anything released in the last year or so.

None. I only buy games if they are on sale. I do not consider games to have been released until they are available for £10 or less.

Just Majora's Mask 3D, at launch way earlier this year. If you count downloadables, Shantae: The Pirate's Curse as well.

Everything else this year have had at least a few dollars off.

Most of the ones I paid full price for were gifts for others. But I did get a few for full price for myself. It's kind of weird being a gamer and a full-grown man with a big-boy job. Seems like my only real limited resource for gaming is now just time.

MGS5 and Fallout 4.
Also bought SOMA and the Witcher 3 Expansion pass, but those were 25 euros.

I got the Witcher 3 with my GTX970.

Next year, however:
- Dark Souls 3
- Hitman
- Dragon's Dogma PC (30Eu)
- Dishonored II
- Deus Ex Mankind Divided
- Mirror's Edge catalyst

That's fine. I'm a patient soul. Hell, not like we can't work out the entire plot of Fallout 4 right now, give or take a name or two.
What do you want to bet its possible to line up with any permutation of the groups and alignments in the game and get basically any outcome to whatever resource war is be fought?

You are missing a zero option. I haven't paid full price for a game all year. I get 20% off any new game I purchase at Best Buy and always had certificates or gift cards to use as well to bring the price down further, and the few things I have purchased on PSN have all been heavily discounted. I've purchased 10 games this year for maybe around $100 out of pocket.
