Poll: How many games do you buy each year?

Simple enough question; In your average year, how many games do you buy new? Feel free to elaborate, on gifts and used games.

Personally I buy 4-5 games each year, since I'm not all that big on FPSs or sports games. Also I usually only buy a game if I consider it to be absolutely "must haz" otherwise I'm content to rent it if I have some spare time.

Between 5 and 10 each year I think.

I can't remember how many games I bought last year(probably less than 5), but it's already 10 this year. This year is a huge exception though, I bought a PS3 and I've been buying a lot of games for it.

At best i'm able to buy 2-3 games a year and thats if i'm lucky. There are so many great games I haven't been able to play yet because I lack money.

I buy very many games. I usually purchase around 2-3 a month, sometimes more. I am not rich, I just buy older games and used games most of the time.

Thanks to Gamefly, this should go significantly down next year. The only reason it's 7 this year is because Bioware and GPG games are so much better on PC than consoles, and I want to encourage the Prince of Persia guys even though the game isn't worth $60.

it all depends, i can buy anywhere from 10-20, depending on where im at and what im looking for.

im a big trader...so once i beat a game into the gruond, unless i really like it, that shit is gonna get traded in for something else, so that factors into at least 5-7 of those games, and then usually if there is a steam sale going on or i see something i really like, then i can buy alotttt more definitly.


although..with the huge steam sale over the summer..i've probably racked up over 20 games already... (i have no idea how i pay for this and everything else in my life...)

Nah I put 7-8 because unless there is a sudden influx of great games I'll only average about 8 a year. It's very expensive here (think UK£100 for a new game). Frightening.

Eighteen, though several of those games were used or marked down. I also still plan on buying, at the least, Black Ops and Civ V. I'm going to try and work in Fable III and FIFA 11 as well, maybe even Halo Reach. And I'm sure there's another game or two that will come out in the coming months that'll make me go, "Oh, crap, I didn't know that came out today too!"
