I'm sure that we all know what I am talking about. Sure you can simply "beat" a game, meaning simply play through to the end on a decent difficult setting. What I am talking about is going way beyond that. Getting every achievement, playing and beating it on every difficulty, getting every single unlockable item; just getting everything that the developers put into the game.
My question to you is: how often do you do this, if at all? For myself, I really only try to unlock everything if I really like the game and want to get as much out of it as possible, so only about 1-20% for myself.
So, what is the Escapist's opinion on this?

I only bother to do everything if I A) Really loved the game (Oblivion for instance, where I may not have done every tiny little thing, but I did most of it, and I definately got all the achievements) or B) If it wasn't all that hard to complete everything (Condemned is a good example, as I really didn't have to go way too far out of the way to complete every challenge it offered)

According to my Backloggery, 28%. I don't really have the time to do any more than that.

If there is an ''always'' opinion, shouldn't the second to last option be ''81%-99%''?
Damn, I didn't catch that. Thanks for the heads up.

I voted 'never.' Although I have attempted to a number of times, I've never actually succeeded. Although I did get all the stars in Super Mario 64 DS...

As often as I can. I am very stubborn about turning down the difficulties though, which, while increasing the time I spend playing the game, it makes me significantly better at it in the long run.

I would suggest making it 81%-99% then adding a ''100%'' option to separate the people who try their best to beat games and the people who meticulously beat every game they have.
OK, I just fixed it. Thanks again, I'm kind of new the whole "thread creation" thing.
