I have 6 pc games and 300 console games. It's that too many? I tried selling some of them to EB but they were going to give me $120 (Australian) for 60 of them. How many games do you have and how much do you think they're worth?

Well, I'd say there is no REAL limit.

Depending on how long you've gamed, how many systems you have, your wealth.

It varies person to person frankly.

Since so many of my console games are sports games from years long past, they're worth almost nothing.

My PC games often fall into the "old and rare" category, but now that there's stuff like GOG and Steam there's not really a market for them anymore.

Add up how much I've paid for the probably 100 games or so that I own and you're looking at somewhere between $2500 and $3000. Add up how much other people would pay for them now and I'd be amazed if I got more than $400 for the whole lot.

Personally I say you should never sell your games, you get ripped off and later on you will surely regret it because you itch to play them again.

As for how many to be owned, I really don't know, just the ones that I really enjoy, which means that I need to go visit the old Xbox rack at my local Gamestop and buy some games back that I used to own.

I own upwards of 160 and I'm always itching to buy more. Collecting games is as much of a hobby as playing them is.

90ish, but I recently sold a very, very, very large number to friends/ebay, and my super nintendo died a few years back and I had to throw it out and sold all of those games (and oh my did I have a lot).

I may be wrong here being British but isn't that the price of one new game over there?

OT: About 60 covering 360, PS2 and PC.
Probably worth about £200 at my local shops.

Probably about 15 but just sold all my X-box games (for about 20 Australian, yeah!). I really don't have that many games.

I don't really need a lot of games, but replaying old favorites gets a little old when I can practically quote the whole thing. I have 30 to 100 games per console, excluding handhelds. Most handhelds I have are by the same company *cough*Nintendo*cough* and the old ones work on the new shiny bobble they've put out. So, I guess under five hundred in all?

Thanks to Steam's Holiday sales and holiday bonus, I have more games on hold right now than I ever will be able to play.

Same here.

I don't think there is a limit, enough to keep you entertained untill you die seems like a good amount though :D.
