EDIT: navi is the fairy that follows you in zelda, its basically common knowledge

I never played Zelda as a child.

No I don't hate Navi. It isn't that annoying unless you're playing it for a second or third or whateverd time and already know what it's gonna say and you CAN'T SKIP IT'S ANNOYING LITTLE REMARKS ABOUT HOW TO CLIMB A LADDER OR HOW TO OPEN DOORS OR HOW TO PUT ONE FOOT IN FRONT OF THE OTHER.
I'm kidding. Even then it isn't annoying enough for caps lock-ing

Navi was awesome, in fact when I played OoT a long time ago, I was kind of upset about how the story went towards the end, and Majora's Mask didn't accomplish the task that was appointed to you in the first cut-scene. (Which I believe is directly related to Navi)
