It pains me to think that these kinds of OPs think its appropriate to label someone one by how promiscuous they are. I know the post kind of try's to down play that angle, but there but by someone's fascination with sex goes a pole, no pun intended.

Its kind of meta in a way, "Yeah, it doesn't really matter, but come on, how many?". Like an accidental commentary on societies changing opinions of sex.

I remember all mine vividly by the way... I either have poor taste in women or hyperbolic statements are correct...

Man, I really wish I saw this sooner so I could be the first to pull the literally card.

Slept in the same bed as: I dunno, 10 or so.
Slept with: 2
Slept with: 0

I believe that's clear enough.

Edit: So if anyone doesn't understand my purposely kinda vague answer, feel free to check a a few posts down [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.380829-Poll-How-many-people-have-you-slept-with?page=2#14977492] to see my purposely unnecessarily long explanation.

I'm not sure. Somewhere between 8 and 11.

But then again I am married, and I've been with my wife for ten years. I remember when we first met and she asked me my number, I told her it was nine but I may have deducted one because double figures seemed a high number when I was 22. And I'm not sure if I counted her in that or not.
I can definitely remember 3 girlfriends, a couple of short term flings, and at least two one night stands. There's almost certainly another one or two one night stands from when I was at university but I can't for the life of me remember them. Meh. I have friends in their 30s who have been single for long periods of time and and they would give a rough answer like: "I dunno, maybe 30 or 40?". That only works out to a couple of encounters per year, but it is hard to recall the less memorable ones.
I don't think it matters much to be honest.

Around 7 (I think), three of which were long term girlfriends and one of which was someone I had never met before.

I'm what I like to call a "technical virgin." I've had sex with one person before but it's been so long I'm starting to wonder if it's changed in my absence.

I personally have slept with 5 people, all of them I was in a relationship with until well, things got out of hand cause apparently I only date control freak psychopaths.

Like... really? Okay, allow me to elaborate more than you'll need/want:

<spoiler=Slept In The Same Bed As>
Slept In The Same Bed As

This being the number of people I've literally slept with, as in gone to sleep with another person in the same bed. Though this technically falls under slept with, the sharing of beds occurs more due to a limited number of beds than the desire to share the bed itself. Putting two twin beds right next to each other wouldn't really count as "sleeping with" and this is basically that, just with one larger bed.

I have two siblings and two parents, so that's 4 people I've slept in the same bed as right off the bat. Add in some school trips here and there with sharing a double/queen/king size bed, but completely remaining on the distinct sides of the bed and you get quite a few people. When I end up having to share a bed with someone like this, I tend to lie perfectly still in one spot the whole night.

Slept With (with emphasis on "with")

The emphasis here is on the "with" part to show that the actual act of sleeping is a shared experience. This is the difference between doing something together and doing something at the same time and unlike the first category, it's the desire to be in the same bed that is bringing the people together, not the lack of beds. Cuddling and other forms of (romantic) affection before/after/during are often involved, though not necessary.

<spoiler=*Slept* With>
Slept With (with emphasis on "slept")

Fucking. Bed and sleeping optional.

Yeah that wasn't clear from your original post. You overcomplicated it.

Five. Considering the fact that most of my friends were, at one point, all female and got drunk around me a lot then the figure should probably be a lot bigger.

Thankfully/Regretfully (depending on your viewpoint) I didn't go for it, and I turned them down when they were drunk and asking for it. Turns out I was a pretty nice teenage.

...That stupid fuck. D=

I'm 25 and I've slept with 18 women 5 of which were in a relationship.
Have a friend who's up at the 70 mark and a friend who's at the 3 mark the guys who's slept with three is a much happier person. so the number means nothing really.

Seems to be one of those scales that swings (ha) to extremes. If you're the sort that gets around, you really get around.
