One book, and like, half the movies.

Load of bullshit, if you ask me. You couldn't pay me to "experience" it more.

Why isn't there an all books and all movies option?
Yeah same here.

That also includes Quidditch Through the Ages, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them and The Tales of Beedle the Bard too. Harry Potter will always have a big place in my heart because it made me want to learn how to read; I'm Dyslexic and I struggled with school terribly, so much so that even at age 11 I couldn't read very well, in fact I hated reading with a vengeance and the thought of reading aloud was enough to make me want to fall into the floor and never be seen ever again. I saw the first film around my eleventh birthday though and I was hooked. I couldn't get enough and so my parents bought me the first few books (rather anxiously on their parts since they knew how hard I found reading). I struggled a lot but with a lot of help and support I eventually got it.

Now I love reading and writing, have graduated from University and even have a job despite the fact my Primary school recommended that I be placed in a special school. Shows what they know!

Wow that poll is messed up. Some of them seem to be the same thing, just worded differently. And there's no "Read all of the books, seen all of the movies." option. Which is what I did.

There was a period of my life where I was obsessed with the franchise. I still know a lot of stuff about it, even though it's not even on my top twenty favorite series list.

I read all the books because it is still the best series I've ever read. The movies are just plain shallow and can't get anywhere near the depth of the books, so they try to be more of a high fantasy action movie. Don't like the movies at all, I think I've seen the first four, the beginning of the fifth, and the last part of Deathly Hallows.

Like I told that other guy/girl, there just wasn't room.

And waj9876: There are no options that are the same thing, each of them's unique.

I own and have read all of the books multiple times. I don't think I own all of the movies but I've definitely watched them all at least once. I joined Pottermore recently to read the 1,500-word article 'written by Rita Skeeter' about Harry and how he's doing now that he's an adult but that's about it. I'm wildly speculating about the direction Fantastic Beasts is going to take and keeping my fingers crossed that FBaWtFT will just be a Harry Potter themed Walking with Dinosaurs/March of the Penguins.

Anyway, the Harry Potter series is my favorite book series. I love the Discworld series too but they're different types of series.

Read the first 4 books early teens, watched their corresponding movies... I think, maybe one that wasn't the same but I've seen some of it. Was never a fan really.

I read all of the books as they came out (I was a kid when the first one was released), and have seen the first five movies. I liked the series at the time, but have little motivation to revisit it now.

I was extremely luke-warm on the movies, but I did like the 3rd movie enough to start reading the books. At that point, the 6th book was just coming out, so I read up to the end of what was available. The 4th book ended up being my favorite, so I was pretty stoked when the 4th movie came out. Unfortunately, it was so badly transitioned from the book that I left 30 minutes into the film. I stopped caring about the movies after that.

I went on to finish the books and loved them quite a bit. I also got all the audio books read by Steven Fry, and they are amazing. I put them on my phone's MP3 player and just listen to them over and over while in the car.

I've read all the books and seen bits and pieces of most of the movies. I don't think I ever sat through an entire showing of any of the movies (though I may well have and forgotten it), but the books were a favorite of mine around the time they were coming out. I still go back and read through Goblet of Fire and Order of the Phoenix from time to time.

All the books, all the movies. I think it was a British thing. Hell, my fiance from China has read and watched them all.
I'm Argentine and I read all books/watched all movies. Speaking of which, where's that option in the poll?

Why do you not have all books and all movies? Seems that would be the largest group among this(nerdy) subpopulation.

...Everything. I live in Surrey. That's practically ground zero.

(If you haven't it's like people here can smell it on you, they just KNOW)

There's even some circles here that write damn good fanfiction, like offshoot pieces in the universe, not necessarily anything to do with Harry and his mishaps. It's gewd shit.

I've seen all the movies and even own them all on BluRay. though for the life of me I cannot remember how the last two go. Keep planning on watching at least those two again so I can feel as if the story is finished, but then I figure I better just watch them all again and who has time for all that?!?

Never had any interest in reading the books, though my little brother has. He was a huge Potter geek when it first came out. Were the first novels to enthrall him into actually reading, so big props to J.K. Rowling for that achievement!
