I have watched that f'ing commercial 5 times in an hour! It's not even well done. The acting is cheesy and it plays like an 80's super soaker commercial. Can't I watch it once & be done with it for the day? What's so wrong with watching multiple videos that you feel the need to punish me? Can I pay the Escapist to NOT show the Slim Jim commercial ever again?

Wanna hear a story? I loaded up ENN, 31 seconds of Slim Jim ear rape later I got an error causing me to reload the page, 31 ear raping seconds later Internet Explorer crashed, 31 seconds later I got to watch a 4 min video, this happens very often, I want my 93 seconds back!

If you eat a Slim Jim, anything is possible. Or, you could join the Publishers Club for $20 a year. Either way.
Publisher's Club or shut up and accept it. Advertisements let the Escapist not charge everyone for what they have.

Do that and the ads will never bother you again on this site, even the ones at the top and bottom of the page. Plus you'll get some neat new things, like a custom title, higher quality videos and a private forum for Pub Club members amongst other things.
So technically yes, you can pay The Escapist to not show you ads. I'd advise you to do that if you can afford it. If not, well...live with what makes the site its money and stops them forcing us all to pay for a membership.

It's not as bad as when blip showed that '7-11 Road Trip Racing' thing every time you clicked on a video. Yeah, you ThatGuyWithTheGlasses frequenters know what I mean. They even kept showing it after the race was over. I mean good god, did anyone actually watch that!? Picking your nose is more productive then watching a reality show that doubles as a commercial.
I dislike that argument with a buring hatred. It's $20 for no ads and a custom title, cool, throw in something else and it might be worth $15 instead of charging $20 for something that really doesn't change much.The Procrastinated End said:
