£10 often for older pc game. £25 for a newer. only more than £25 if I REALLY want it and I can usually wait for price cuts.

I've never paid more than £30 ($40??) for a game and never will.

When I use to play consoles a lot I generally waited for them to go platinum or get them second hand rather than pay the original stupidly inflated full price.

Luckily PC games are more sensible with their pricing generally.

hmmm, well i payes 120 for a valkyrie profile recently WORTH IT and new games though usualy cost 50-60 on release here in canada, but i tend to aim for games within 40-60 as my limit for new games, any more and it has to be a game i REALLY WANT im all for second hand games so long as they are in good condition

It really depends on the game. I hate buying used stuff, so if I want an old game I might spend 100-150 dollars on it to make sure I get it new. Generally I don't buy old games like that anyway so it is kind of moot.

I don't go over £25 usually. I miss the days when you could come home with a few decent games for that.

I paid $85 AUD for an imported Rock Band 2 on eBay and that's about as high as I'll go. New release games in stores in Australia can cost up to $110 AUD ($80 USD). Obviously more if you want the Collector's Edition or whatever.

I don't care what the exchange rate is, that's just ridiculous.

It's it's just the game with no extras... probably 70-80 max... it would be for a very special game though. Usually I feel 60 euro is too much.

Normal store prices I guess. (Which would be around 90 dollars for most games where I'm from.) I would go a bit higher for Collector's editions, but only if it was actually worth it.

Up to 60, and it better be damn sweet. I'm amazed that people in Australia pay what they do, because I'd have trouble. What are the prices like in the U.K.? I've always wondered, but never really looked it up.

That's just crazy.
Wait for it.
I'm sure it'll end up on the wii VC eventually. It isn't already?

The only "rare" game I've ever considered paying a lot of money for was Rez but I just waited for the reprinting.

I think the current price for games is a bit steep but understandable when you realize just how many people work on some of them and the equipment they need.

However, I take that current price as the limit. That's why I don't buy DLC (well. I did buy the Warhawk DLC when it dropped to $10 for everything) and I stay far away from games with monthly subscriptions; I'm looking at you MMOs.

i think the equivelent value for games here (a 360 games costs about £45) is somewhere in the $50-$10o, although if i saw a price tag of 100 anythings i'd pass it by. even if the value is the same, 100 currency denominations just sounds too much

When I was younger I?d pay up to forty quid for something I really wanted. Now, with not having half as much time to play games and the added bonus of much more patience I?ll wait until they fall to around twenty quid.

I may be able to do up to $100ish, though the most I've ever spent on a single game was $60 for Halo 3, and that was the Legendary Edition to boot (Free Cat Helmet :D) Generally, I don't like spending more then $30ish unless it's a game I really, really want to play.
