and any weird pokemon like zuruzukin can be explained:
Oh what the F*** is the point of that thing.. Even the names have gotten ridiculous.. Zuruzukin? And who gives a plum about Gang Culture when you're supposed to be having fun and collecting pokemon?
Its Barrel Scraping. I cant believe people are turning against the first 150 when they were the ones made pokemon what it is. Just take another look at the excuses for pokemon we are being given now. Even comparing Ponyta with that thing that -looks like- a horse or any other generic for legged creature.

Long Live Pokemon! But for gods sake dont offend it by saying that after 150-250 designs they actually got better!
zuruzukin is his japanese name his English name hasn't been revealed yet and I am just saying they aren't scraping the bottom of the barrel I am saying they have creative pokemon as well as classic animal based pokemon, moth, tarantula, swan, duck, dinosaurs, a specific type of crocodile, jelly fish, different plants etc. and in the first 151 they had stupid pokemons e.g. a mime, jinx (what the hell is it), a piece of shit (grimir), rock with gas escaping, a boxer in a ballerina dress, a human body with out a head but a face on it's chest, jiggily puff and clefairy, what the hell are the nido- line, a generic ghost ,a generic ghost and a generic ghost, a turd mule thing, a line of rocks, balls of metal with magnets attached, a thing with a mushroom on it's back, a turtle with cannons coming out of it's shell, a toad wih a plant growing on it's back and edit: a mythological creature combined with a tapir. just accepted that pokemon designs are just different not better not worse just different and they are all made by the same person not people but person there is one person that has made all but one pokemon so don't say 'they don't get what pokemons are meant to be'.

also hypno is an obscure animal (aardvark) but yea I hate it when some one goes 'the first 151/251 were the only good one' because they are not for example:
Hypno isn't an aardvark. Drowsee is based on a Baku, a folklore permutation of a tapir [http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/79/Tapir_with_outstretched_proboscis.jpg], who eat dreams. Hypno is a combination of the baku imagery combined with that of some sort of hypnotist. Munna and its evolution also are baku-based.

well that makes hypno even more obscure then gang culture and my point of the original generation had weird pokemons and that it isn't something new (how could I forget tapirs).

Well, some are good, some are bad, but it's usually nice to see them, even if most of the designs suck and are evolutions/combinations for existing characters.

Even if they are drawn in a non-pokemon style that makes you think immediately that they are fake, they can still be interesting takes on the subject. An well, I like kids making up new stuff for series they like, especially if they are being creative. I still look back to my fake pokemons I drew ten years ago with fondness. And some of them work well as designs, even if my drawing style was atrocious.

As for my least favourite real pokemon designs, I never much cared for too-realistic looking ones, like Yanmega or Mightyena, with no interesting spin on them.

Aren't all pokemon "made-up"
What??? Nooooooo. Next you are gonna say Santa Claus is made up too.

Made up pokemon (by fans I mean) is awesome. Flexes the creative muscles. Shows a deep love of the series. Not saying each one shouldn't be judged on an individual basis past that but hey if it entertains a person go nuts.
