Poll: How often do you actually run into online annoying people?

Many say they don't play multiplayer because they don't want to deal with annoying, douche bags, little kids, but honeslty, how often do you run into them.

For me its rare, I have played hundreads of hours of MP but its almost never I run into someone who is really annoying. Sure it maybe becuase I play on ps3 (BLOPS) where their is less mics, somewhat also with PC (al least the games I play on PC) and so its really rare for me to have to deal with anyone.

So how about you?

It all depends on the game for me. In L4D i usually don't get that many and it's pretty nice. The times that i do it's usually just those that like to camp when playing as the Survivors.

I don't play multiplayer often. And as for on the internet, if they're annoying, I either report them if they've done something wrong or go somewhere else.

PS3 and TF2, not THAT many annoying people but one pops up every now and then. Also, I don't play AAA shooters the year they come out, that may have something to do with it.

Don't even have a working Xbox. Seedless to nay I don't often play games online.

I never go into game chat as I am always in a party with friends on the Xbox so when it comes to players I never really come across any.

The exception is the occasional message from someone who cannot take dying; I once kicked someone's ass and they accused me of being the host with a poor connection, I then sent a message pointing out that if I were host then quitting would end the game to which I did and seeing as I wasn't host the game carried on. His reply afterwards was that I still sucked... despite him messaging me in the first place because I was owning him.

I occasionally come across dicks on TF2 and the L4D games, usually racist/rude people in type chat.

Back when I did play multiplayer, I ran in to them every game. Thats why I stopped...

Depends on how old and popular the game is.. On some of the older mmos I play, I used to find them a lot, but they eventually die down..

Thankfully, most PS3 online players don't have a mic. Sadly, the ones that do often come in groups. So that means there is the risk of there being a group of annoying people, but that rarely happens. In fact, some guys have their mic on, but don't talk, so that's even less people who can be annoying.

Halo Halo Halo Halo. I love their multiplayer, but goddamn those irritating, prepubescent kids with their annoying-ass, high-pitched voices that love to randomly sing during the whole duration of the match and make me lose my concentration. Even worse off are those douchebags who love to talk about disgusting/mean/stupid shit, one example being some asshole who thought it was funny to tell about the time that he told a little kid that he was Hitler just to scare him and that he wanted to kill all the Jews. That asshole deserves to be *****-slapped 9 ways from Sunday. Lastly, I truly cannot stand idiots that like to randomly play their crap music onto their headsets for no apparent reason other than irritating the hell out of us with their already awful music being made to sound even more awful with the terrible quality of Xbox Live microphones.

I come across annoying people fairly frequently in League of Legends. Its not that the majority of players are annoying, instead its just that when you do run into annoying players it sticks in your head more. I feel like any kind of competitive environment like CoD, Halo, DoTA, LoL, or Starcraft can really bring out the worst in some people.

I will sometimes come across a few players who use dickish tactics, but most of the time its nice and peaceful for me.

Some a-hole seems it necesary to call everyone a noob, while he has a KDR of .02. And that's just in LoL.

Maybe 1 times out of 10 I play a game I find someone annoying.

But then, It's so easy to mute that it really isn't a problem to me.

Rarely, actually. Most games I play in multiplayer frequently are with clanmates or Escapist members, people I know aren't douchebags online.

But even in more random online games my experience was always generally good. Yes, even the 2 months or so I played Halo 3 online, and Halo CE on the PC, I didn't meet all that many annoying people. Not in Black Ops either, or Bad Company 2, or pretty much anything else.

Except Modern Warfare 2 on the PS3. Showed one of the disadvantages of online gaming in Europe; 10 people shouting/squeeking in 10 different languages. Such a pain in the ass.

I play League of legends and I'd say about 75% of the time. Really. It's better at lower levels but when you're 30(max) it turns into some sort of dickslapping contest. I swear I will never start playing ranked games.
