Poll: How often do you buy games?

Depends. I rarely buy brand new titles at full retail price. I tend to go through discounts and bargain bins mostly. Also, I rent most of my games, or borrow them from friends. I suppose I'm in the "One per month" category overall...

about once every month, though the number does vary - during a drought it'll obviously stall to about 1 every 2-3 months, while holiday seasons I might even get 2 every month.

bearing in mind I also trade in vast quantities of games, so the number of games I have doesn't increase that often.

I like to keep 2-3 games at a time that I'm currently playing, typically one single player and a couple of multi player titles. I never have more than 4-5 games at a time and I always trade them in when I'm done with them. The holiday season usually puts out a glut of games I want but since I can't get them all at once I get the multiplayer titles I want on release day to take advantage of the community, while the single player games get set aside for later months when the online dies down.

Currently I own 6 games, but 4 will be traded in shortly for new titles. I am also a little behind as I haven't picked up Brutal Legend yet. With Borderlands in my 360 now, and Dragon Age, Assassin's Creed II, Left 4 Dead 2, Mass Effect 2 and Splinter Cell Conviction all coming within the next 4 months, I have plenty to keep me busy well into next year.

Heh, I was the one vote for 2-3 days, but I realize I should have gone with inconsistent. I buy cheap used games all the time lately, at least one a week, but it's more than I usually buy.

I try to get all the good titles within a month, but otherwise I really don't buy games that much now.

I've got into the habit of buying pre-owned games at the moment, since nothing released recently has appealed. Then again, I haven't bought ANY newly released 360 games. Unless you count me buying L4D (a new copy) last week. That's about as close as I've come. Last games I bought on their release was KH2 and FFXII.

Depends on cash flow and games available. Just don't go buy random games, usually plan it out beforehand
