Rarely bordering on never... unless we're counting '*****', then in which case, fairly regularly. Anything else, yeah, practically never. It's not that I actively avoid it, it's just that I don't... for whatever sense that may make.

All the fucking time.

No, seriously, I have a mouth like a sailor in real life, but, I know when not to swear like around kids or random people. But in correct company or on my own I'm terrible.

I hate it when you around a friend or acquainted who curses in front of literally anyone. Why do so many college-age kids automatically assume its cool to curse in front of other people's parents?

Huh, was that aimed *at* me lol?

I would never swear in front of someone's parents, or people who may not like it (kids, random people, elders or whatever you know) around friends who're happy to swear, my partner or myself it can slip out without thinking. But it's easily controlled around other people.

Cursing is something I've yet to do in my entire life, and I'm 29  I just don't see the point.

My view of cursing is that people simply don't have a large enough vocabulary to think of any other words to use. That's obviously a joke and not true though.

The bolded part is what got me thinking about something that just generally bothers me. Not implying you are guilty of it of course! It's just something that I have been running into more and more frequently as of late. Last time it happened it was someone cursing in front of a friend's parent. I felt embarrassed for my friend XP

Not so much that it becomes juvenile.

And that's the secret to good swearing; Don't over spice it.

It depends. Around my family I have yet to swear at all. Around friends it can hit well beyond fifty a day. If I'm driving then it is near constant. I have a very simple attitude about swear words, I use them as much as the people around me would want, so when I'm alone it becomes constant.

A lot. It's one of the reasons I got fired as a babysitter.

Just one of them

I swear... not so much that it loses impact, but enough that anyone who spends a lot of time talking to me will pick it up in all the emphasising of how fucking shit that bloody program I am using is and so on.

Also, your poll is badly designed. You should have the intervals go up exponentially, it gives much better brackets. you get the same idea of how much someone swears if they say between 50 and 100 times a day as you do if they say 2 to 3 times a day. Just a suggestion.

Fairly. I swear on here a lot more than in real life.
I should probably hold back for a bit, gonna be spending a week or so with little brother and sister, Dad won't appreciate them going around swearing their faces off.

Usually to emphasize a point or when I'm angry, surprised or happy. I would say 10+ times a day. Not excessive, mind you, but just right (imo).

I'm Australian, so I'm legally bound by our constitution to swear at least 20 times a day. It can get pretty fucking annoying at times.

When my parents are around? Almost none. My way of showing respect, whatever that's worth.

When out and about? Quite a bit. Not as much as I used to. If I just swore constantly, it'll lose it's point.
