I always finish the game, start to finish, along with any extra bosses, levels, etc.

I usually get 100% as well, but for some games (Darksiders, for example), it's just a little too tedious to actually go and do so. Maybe in the future.

Not too often, to be honest - I'm pretty sure I can list all of the games I've beaten

Fallout (the original)
KOTOR II (not the first - that damn Star Forge!)
Mass Effect 1 and 2
Prince of Persia
Baldur's Gate I and II
Icewind Dale
God of War I and II

The only games I have ever not finished:

Devil May Cry 4 (hated everything about it)

Metal Gear Solid (the one on the oil rig- got bored doing more watching than playing)

Zelda: WInd Waker (I have to sail around and find 8 bits of Triforce??? Fuck that)

If a game really takes me in, I tend to see it to the conclusion. Maybe not straight away, but if it keeps my gripped I'll usually get to the credits. Just today I finished Apollo Justice, on of the Phoenix Wright games. I love Phoenix Wright, I intend to beat the Trials and Tribulations soon.

Other than Demon's Souls and GT5:prologue, I don't think I've failed to finish a single game that I've bought[footnote]I have a couple of PS3 and wii games that I didn't buy that I've not bothered with, and my copy of farcry on xbox360 got broken before I could finished it so they may count.[/footnote] I have every intention of finishing at least Demon's souls this holidays.

Basically, I rarely buy games I haven't already played, when I do it means it's a sequel to a game I liked.

Just finished Dark Sector.

I love 5 dollar bargain bin games that are definitely worth more then the 5 dollars.

Not worth 20 dollars mind you, but certainly worth more then 5.. maybe 7 ;)

I didn't even finish the demo. What a boring game.
Eh, it wasn't the best of games, but it also wasn't the worst. However, it does get a lot better after you get the Abyssal Chain (aka: The Hookshot). Unfortunately, you don't get that until the 4th dungeon area. There's only the equivilent of about 6 dungeons in the game (5 dungeons, and the one mostly non-combat area and secret area's add up to about another dungeon).

Yeah, the combat was OK and stuff but I just found the dungeon design a bit uninspired, like Zelda but grey and without the charm and thought process required for the puzzles.

And man, was it ugly!

I've finished every game I own with the exception of Destroy All Humans: Path Of The Furon, because it's crap.

i will gladly play through 100 hours of story, but if it's not interesting then i won't.
i bought operation flashpoint 2 a month ago but i haven't even touched it. same for the witcher.

other times it's just boring to play, i bought res 5, and I played for 10 minutes before deciding "This is terrible" and trading it in.

and the game Wild Arms 4, i engoyed it, but at one point there was a save point near the end of one level, then you gotta finish that level, the next level and the next level without dying, this included a boss fight.

Always finish my games, I only buy games i think i'll like, and I get my moneys worth from them. Often times I mod them and play again.

Every game always. Not necessarily 100% completion but always the main game plus some extras.

Then again I haven't bought a game since Warcraft 3: Frozen Throne came out (NOT piracy, I just don't have many games), so I don't have a lot of games to finish.

I generally try to finish a game but... with games like Fallout 3 and Oblivion... even after going through every main story and faction-related quest... there just feels like more to do.
Especially if I install mods.
Incidentally, if you have a PC version of Oblivion... I'd strongly recommend the following mods: Malevolant, Tears of the Fiend, and Midas Magic.
No, I didn't make any of those mods. The first two are the BEST quest mods I've played, and Midas Magic introduces an entirely new magic system while leaving the old one intact.

Sorry if that derailed the thread a bit.
i can't find malevolant, but i'm installing the otehr 2 just now.

EDIT: nvm, found it.

I try to finish every game, but this year I've been pretty damn busy with other things and I've been grazing from game to game instead of getting really involved in a story.

Luckily, all I have this summer is a thesis to write, and I live in an area with bad unemployment. I suppose that's one positive to come out of having no chance of finding a job, I can go back and finish off all the games I haven't completed...

I tend to speed through to the finish on a first playthrough, and then go back and do it again at a more leisurely pace. In answer to your question, though, I haven't left a game unfinished since I was ten years old.

Most of the times, unless they are bad ones.

Though there are games that are good but I never completed since I got bored of it.
