Poll: How often do you go back and play old consoles?

I found a box filled with every nintendo system from before 2000 and I was having a nostalgia orgasm. How often do you play old school systems and when you do what do you play?

Well to me Ps1 was old-ish. I've been playing MGS a lot lately and I often go bakc to the Spyro and Tomb Raider games.

I used to a lot, I haven't in a while though. I think I wore my nostalgia bone... and my old game consoles... out.

I just recently sold my Super Nintendo, N64 and Playstation 2. I regret doing that SO much now. The old school Crash Bandicoot games were amazing.

I'll bust out my Atari 2600 every few years for some nostalgic stupid fun. Otherwise I don't really pull out the old systems much these days because I managed to repurchase most of my favorite games in either compilation discs, for the Wii, or sometimes via PSN. I do play classic 8 to 32 bit games all the time on those though.

I like to go back and play Crash Bandicoot when i need a break from all the new stuff. Recently i got Gauntlet Dark Legacy, which was an epic game... so many memories

I play N64 occasionally and have been a lot of Shadow of Rome lately because I recently bought it off eBay.

The only console I have is a PS2, which I guess could be considered "old" now. I mess with it on occassion, but only if I feel a compelling need to play old and, to me, somewhat stale JRPG's I haven't played seriously in over 5 years.

Definitely would go back and play them, if any of them were intact. :-( I don't know if it was because I played often or what, but consoles didn't hold up well with me around.


That's one of the things I like about Xbox live, the option to download older games. Would like to see more available.

I play on my old xbox and the first play station a lot actually. Some of the games, apart from the graphics, were decent games.

You gotta love the classics. i play my SNES, TurboGraphic, and PS1 when ever i feel nostalgic

I don't keep my old consoles around, but I still play the games on emulators quite a bit. Mostly SNES and Playstation.

IF you've got a NES or SNES play them as long as you can, The Hardware expires naturally in the next 3-5 years.

I have a Dreamcast, Gamecube, PS2, N64 and Saturn set up. I'm planning on getting a black Wii son and then I'll have the Virtual Console, as well.
