The following example is not an example of me playing an "old" game to extreme extents, but it has the general idea in it:
So anyway, finding myself sick of Bioshock 2 (I couldn't even complete it one hundred percent (which is usually the case with most games)) I found myself for a time sick of all video games. Even the mere thought of video games sickened me. However, recently I have rethought this notion and took out an older game to play. I basically went from Bioshock 2 to Dark Cloud 2. Now I know that Dark Cloud 2 isn't exactly an "old game" persay however, it is not exactly the newest either.
Basically, I would like to know whether or not you ever go from a new game to an old-ish game sometimes. To elaborate further, what games do you usually have the tendency to go back to most times. What games do you find yourself picking it up more than once and saying "I would like to play this again"?
