It only ever hits me when I'm laying in bed with a bad case of insomnia, that happens, at most, once a year. I'm just staring at the dark of the ceiling when the feeling of my heart sinking in my chest hits me.

I don't get why all of these young people are pondering death. I still feel bullet proof, it doesn't cross my mind. Having said that I'm 30 this year, I'll see if things change afterwards.

A lot, mostly because I'm studying to be an EMT and you get to see some very messed up stuff that makes you think that could be you, but damn if it isn't almost the funnest thing I have ever done.

Almost daily.
this. I get bullied a lot at school so I think about suicide.......
Don't. School doesn't last forever, y'know.

I felt the same back then, but then I got older and realized how retardedly melodramatic I was being. No offense, but you're hardly in a minority, being picked on, I mean. It'll pass and better things will come. I promise.

My favourite recurring fantasy is where I just lie back in bed and my mind and body just dissolve into nothing and never reform no more pain no more fear no more hate and I lose absolutely nothing and then I wake up and realism that none of it was real and I have to survive another day with only my stories and games to numb the pain. alas I am incompetent so any attempt to end it myself would only result in failure and more pain.
Sometimes I laugh that my depression is all that keeps my alive and if I ever started to get better then the urges to do it myself would return.

My god what a depressing poll response

Where at? I did the EMT then EMT paramedic in Houston, finished in 2000 but it was life changing. Loved it, although it was hard work.

Pretty much daily.

Dying means missing out on ever seeing the distant horizons of the galaxy in which we live. Dying means having everything I m and have ever worked for to lose it's meaning completely to me.

Hence I don't really accept death as inevitable. Im gonna do what I can to stay alive no matter what. Granted I sure have the odds stacked against me, but I've never been scared of bad odds before so why start now?

If the reaper wants me he'll have to work for it...

I support the theory that everything reacts to mindwaves, God exists because we believe in him, and so do all things we believe in, if all humans stopped believing in rabbits, they would sciece to exist! so get your brains going and believe that I am imortal and ruler of the world! GO MY MINIONS!

Cedar City Utah, we are the only semi-large town on this part of the I-15 so we get all sorts of car crashes, also a fair amount of drugs and rapes because of the college and hicks.

Used to think about suicide multiple times a day for the span of two decades, thankfully I'm not enough of a ***** to inflict that upon the people I care about. Eventually gained a will to live which oddly holds no self-interest, I press on because the ones I love seem to want me alive.

Most of the time, actually. That's why I play video games; to seperate myself from this kind of thinking for at least a little while. However, on reflection, it makes me sad that I'm wasting my life.
Oh, and I've been pondering suicide since I was eight. Not gonna happen, no worries about that, but it crosses my mind alot.

I really don't fear death, so this isn't really an issue for me. If I'm going to die of something other than natural causes, I want it to be while doing something beneficial to society or saving someone.

Never, I don't bother myself with minimal problems like that. It's a waste of time, death will always happen, your life doesn't have to mean anything. I would rather think of more important things.

Houston was in the top 10 cities for shootings and stabbings, the army sent their medics to Ben Taub hospital to gain experience while I was there. Its a really rewarding job, wish I was still doing it.
