Moved out a week or two before my 19th birthday. No really good reason, just an opportunity to move in with some friends cropped up so I went with it.

I was 18, moved in with my boyfriend.
For some reason the thought of living with my mum until my 20s really scared me. Probably because my sister moved out at 17/18 my brother at 19. My mum was like, "You're under no pressure to move, you can stay here for as long as you like" I think she just wanted to keep hold of me though.
I think I'm moving a bit closer to my family at the end of the year.

I think your poll is a little skewed. Not many people leave home before they graduate high-school (For many this is 18, but some skip years, so possible younger.) I think your poll should say something like "17 and younger", "18", "19", "20", "21", "22+", simply because more people would stay home after high-school to get a decent job before moving out.

I moved into my first flat when I was 17. Between college and my job both spare time and spare cash were thin on the ground, but it was totally worth it.

I'm 20 now and still live with my parents. Honestly, I really want to move out, but right now I can't support myself financially.

I hope to go to college again this year, so maybe I can get a room where I'll be studying. Not sure though as it's horribly expensive and my parents don't really want to help me pay for it. Here in Holland there aren't many on-campus living facilities, so you'll just have to look for your own housing which is both very difficult (as most rooms and flats are already taken, there's often a huge queue, especially in popular cities) and horribly expensive compared to how much room you actually get for it. For example, in the city where I probably am going to go to college a 15m2 costs you about 330 euros a month. How on earth I'm going to pay for that while going to college fulltime...I have no idea.

But we'll see, first I actually have to start studying.

Eh. I don't know. I'm 17 and not out and... well I dont' know. It's something rather sad to think about simply because I don't know what I want to do or how to get money in order to get out.

I'll find a way though, somehow. Gots to keep searching ^-^

I am 21 and I live with my Mother and Grandparents. I probably won't be moving out for a year or two at least.

I'm 22 in April and I can't afford to move out. I also have two friends aged 30 and 32, and it's the same situation for them. =/ House prices around here are obscene.

When I was 17, the first half year was really hard partly because it was strange to loose all you friend and family from you day to day life and partly because the amount of work at school change extremely. But all in all I was happy to get away and try to live on my own.

I moved out at 17 to study in the UK. In a couple of months I'll be moving in again (now 18), couple of months after that my parents will sell the house and I'll be off to university.

I haven't done it yet, and I'm 16.
I hope to do it a couple of years after I finish school.
It's not that I hate my family or anything (they're fine), but I literally cannot wait to move out.

I'll be 19 in a couple of months and I still live with my father and plan to for a fair amount of time. He's physically disabled and I take care of him.

Moved out to go to Uni at 16; instantly took a liking to it. I almost never go home; it's just dull now. I pretty much entirely stopped going home when I was together with my girlfriend, who lives in the city where I study. Then again, single now and haven't been home in... I forget how long. Family's not my thing, maybe? They tend to get on my nerves pretty quickly.
