I was about 6. My parents got me an NES for my birthday. Turns out my dad opened it the day before to test that it worked ok, the punk.

I got a sega megadrive when I was like 4 or 5 I think, that was my first console and I only ever played sonic then. I actually started gaming properly when I got my N64 at 8. Been doing it ever since.

If you start any younger than that it's a bit ridiculous I think. I swear your hands wouldn't even be big enough to use the controller.

Lemmings at age 3; I was quite good at it. Got a megadrive at age 4 and have never been the same since.

Played a little Sega and Playstation 1 when I was in the 4-9 range, but I can't really say I started gaming until I was like 13.

Define 'gaming'..I was about 7 when I got a Star Wars Episode I lcd game thingy.
About 10 when I acquired a GBC.
And 17 when I finally got an Xbox 360 [may it rot]

4 or 5. Megaman and Marios Bros on the NES were the first games that I ever played, if you don't count Batman Pinball in a pizza place that I used to live near.

I was watching as my father played Full Throttle when I was about 5. Then when he was done, I made a new game and played for about an hour because I had memorized everything my father had done. The game was rather violent for a 5 year old, but I didn't care.

I was six, I think, when I started playing Sonic 2 for the first time. I think I might have got to play Sonic Spinball before that. (or whatever the pinball Sonic game was called... I think I got it right.)
