Poll: How smart do you think you are compared to other people?

I haven't seen any results yet, but I am going to make an educated guess. A much larger proportion of people voted above average than average or below average. This shows how egotistic and self indulging you are. Maybe its true, maybe it just happened that an intelligent amount of people saw and viewed this. Maybe the viewers of this website are above average intelligence. This is very unlikely, as most of you would fail a retard internet test. So what do YOU O Intelligent One, think of this? Because you matter so much I would adore your input.

There are a lot of factors to determine intelligence. Generally rounded knowledge, potential for learning, given knowledge for a subject, etc.

Overall, I'd say that I'm slightly above to considerably above as based on an of what factors contribute to my intelligence.

In terms of actual intelligence and knowledge, I have few superiors I actually know (know as in, communicate with in school on a day-to-day basis). In terms of UN-common sense, I have none.

"smart" is an amazingly broad term.

Depending on definition, I could fall at either extreme of that spectrum, for example.

I've chosen to fall on the top part, naturally. Nothing wrong with a boost to my self-esteem, aye?

I don't think I'm particularly smart, but I do consistently come top of my class in every subject, and my teachers tell me I'm very perceptive, and intelligent. I guess I can take their word for it. I don't compare myself to other people though; I don't think I'm smarter than anyone else, because, while I might perform better than other people academically, other people have abilities that I'll never possess. Seriously, I think anyone who can design and build something out of nothing is a genius - I wish I were that practical.

Do I think I'm smarter than most people? Yes, and obviously you do too looking at your post. Why? I believe there are alot of stupid people.

There's no effective way to measure something as vague as intelligence. I'm far more articulate than the average fellow in my age group, I suppose, but there's a bit more to it than that. I'm completely fuck awful at maths, for one thing.

This poll is far too broad, is what I'm saying. I'd say I'm quite above average as far as language goes (excuse my lack of modesty...did you know I also speak French?) but as I've said, things like Math usually escape me.

For the sake of not being an ass, I put "Average", but you really need to specify here.

Well "other people" in my mind refer to the people that I see on a daily basis, or college students. Sadly, I think that I'm more intelligent than most of them unfortunately, not necessarily smarter, but generally able to converse on a higher level than they are.

For telling me what I was referencing, yes.

For me, it depends how you are measuring it. If it is strictly academic, then way above average. I don't mean to sound cocky, but I just sort of "get" the sciences, they just makes sense to me. But if you also look at say... interpersonal stuff, i'm pretty low on the scale. And if you look at the arts, I am at the midpoint: No way I can do them, but I can greatly appreciate them.
