I have recently come down with a case of the common cold, now before any of you say anything let point out that getting sick is actually, quite rare for me as my immune system is extremely high?.

For example say there was a sick bug going around; nine out of ten times it will bypass me and I will be completely safe whilst my friends and family end up getting sick. (I am not being boastful but simply using these facts as an introduction to my thread)

So here comes the thread question.

How strong is your body?s immune system?

I.e. are you the type of person who gets sick easily or the type who almost always, avoids any sickness that is thrown at them.

Edit: I've noticed a few posts complaining about the lack of options, so to make the poll more fair I shall add a few more.

I don't make much of a point to keep disease away, other then the basics. I never really get sick.
I do get a lot of injuries, however.

I haven't been sick since late June, so I'm alright.

I do seem to have more broken bones then me getting sick though.

Well, I have yet to catch the swine flu which was supposed to decimate England by 2 months ago so pretty good.

Honestly, I have no idea, I mean I get like little sniffles now and again but that is about it.

The most ill i've been for about 3 years now is the "2-4 day common cold" where you feel like crap but it fades really quickly.

Even thats rare.

I'd say mine is strong.

This shell's immune system sucks.
There wasn't illness for months, and then right before blood doning, It catches colds. that won't go away.

I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
I look at a picture of a runny nose and I'm sick for a month.
My immune system is about as strong as wet paper.

Pretty damn good, actually. I rarely get sick, and if I do, it's usually just the sniffles and then it goes away.

The only problem I have is an incredibly annoying permanent neck cramp cause by a pinched nerve between two misaligned vertebrae. One time the pain in my neck was so bad due to inflammation and a fever (caused by bacterial tonsilitis) that I thought I had meningitis. Was NOT a fun night.

I get sick all the time, most probably because I eat too much crap and don't shovel in enough good stuff.

I will tentatively classify my immune system as "awesome" because I never go to the doctor and seldom get sick (still flu-free this season!). But I have no way of knowing whether or not my immune system is particularly effective-- maybe I'm just lucky.

Wow, very depressing options in the poll.
I get sick very rarely, but I do every now and then.
I consider my immune system to be, overall, very strong, though.
