Poll: how tall are you?

Remarkably, ~70-90% of this poll's participants are above average height for men for most parts of the western world, even after including the women.

I don't think that's necessarily bulldrek though. Think of all the people you know who are into computer games...how many are short? It does seem like geekiness is correlated to heightliness.

As a 21 year old male I'm 5 foot 6 inches. I really really hate being short.

I stand 5' 7" (1.70 m) and I'm 21 and I do boxing. So I know how it sucks to be short.

I'm a 5'2" male who is 23. I'd love to be even 5'6" or 5'7"

I too am a 5'2" man. Not much positive about it.




EDIT: If I'm 155cm, how does 140-160 count as average? Where does the OP live where there is so many short people?

5'5'' or 165 cm, age 20 (US). Not noticeably short, but still conscious about not being tall.

I don't know where you are or who you hang out with, but I consider 5'5" to be "noticeably short". That's almost half a foot below average height for a man.

I'm average height, about 5'10"-5'11". Sometimes I look taller in photos because I'm so slim. I think that's about 178 cm, but there's no option for that in the poll...

It does not make them more captivating, it makes them make eye-sores.
I have noticed that literally all your posts have been done like this. I am sure that it is actually in the guide-lines somewhere that you shouldn't do it. I have seen someone get a mod-edit or a warning for it... long time ago.

I am around 178-179cm. A category not all that far from the centre of the bell-curve... I am insulted. Get rid of your 2 silly options and put genuinely useful, intermediate steps in.

I voted 180-190 because I am VERY close to that, and for a South African, am above average.

I'm about 5'9, meaning I'm tall enough to reach things and taller than most girls, but shorter than a fair proportion of guys, which is nice, I wouldn't like to bend down to kiss someone. That would be kind of awkward.

All in all, I'm quite pleased with my height.
