Hello, I just wanted to ask how you're all doing. Are you travelling, working, studying or just relaxing? Hopefully everyone is doing well.

EDIT: Oh I should also mention myself. I'm mainly staying at home and studying and getting some work done. Actually if things go well, I might even go traveling in a month or so.

"Don't worry, boy. When you get a job like me, you'll miss every summer."
-Homer Simpson

I'm 29 years old with a full time job. My summer is just like my winter except that in summer, I get to play golf and I don't have to worry about snow.

Our family did do our yearly vacation (Vegas this year). Protip: Don't go to Vegas in June because holy hell it's hot. I've been there a few times but it was STUPID hot during June. Like..."I've been outside for about two minutes and I may be dying" hot.

Right now I'm not doing much but next Monday I'm going to a Job interview/talk with an employer from a Toy Store I worked with during the Christmas holidays. So hopefully I'll either be working full time or just over the summer. Hopefully it'll keep the Jobs Seekers off my back for a while.

I intend to relax at home. I also plan to go to the US for three weeks specifically the south west and Vegas in particular. But I will be going in October and November, because like Tippy said it is to damn hot there right now.

You are asking other people what they are doing but what about yourself?

Just working and relaxing since I won't get to do that in a few months.

Mainly it's just staying in doors and not going out until it's dark out since it's so damn hot here.

I have a full-time job now. Summer just means it's warmer than winter and the roads aren't bad. In a less cynical way, it's been good. Got switched to a better shift at work and get to hang out with my friends again now that they're all back from school.

Working 12 hour shifts every day of the week, carrying heavy ass shit and tearing down walls inside industrial ovens.
The pay is amazing and I get roughly 1 week off for every 2 weeks of work.
I'm also beginning to get some nice guns to show off at the beach when I'm off.

Mainly working but I'm going to the MCM Expo Manchester on the 25th, the only planned event that I have fully booked off (I don't take holidays or time off in general).

In saying so my cosplay lies on this bloody store! I cosplaying Dandy from Space Dandy and the final piece I need is an elvis wig which this store kinda have. Thye never told me that I had to paid first and then they order it so I waited two weeks for nothing (the time for it to arrived)! Now that I paid for it to be delievered, they told me it will arrived in a week which I find kinda strange when they told me it would had take a forenight to arrived. I kinda in paranoid mode as I think it will not arrived within the week (they only opened on Saturday but they say they will text me when it has arrived) and time is running out!

Other than that, I also going to be watching the Summer movies with Terminator Genisys next (follow by Ant-man, Inside Out and Fantastic Four).

EDIT- Oh FFS I finally got my cosplay together but now I can't go to it cos they got rid of the "On the day" tickets and you have to buy online which Saturday tickets are all sold out (can't do Sunday). My summer is official ruin!!!!!!! I waited all year for this and they had to fucked me up at the last minute!!

Working, I got my degree in January, searched for a job for 4 months until I got a 4 month spell in May until start of September. So mainly work, a bit of leisure on the free days. I'm in a relationship with a bit of a distance (50km, so not too long) so I go there (it's my childhoodtown) on my free days.
A bit of fun also of course as well with a ACDC concert in 3 weeks, football tournament at the start of August and my friend getting married at the end of August.
It's going to go fast, hopefully I'll get to continue with the current job after this summerspell is over.

One week left of work, but after that I drive off towards Austria(I live in Sweden) where I'll spend a week hiking, drinking beer and probably take a detour to Italy for a day. After that it's back home where I'll relax, but there's a good chance I'll finally get an apartment. The move in date is the same day I get back from Austria however, so shit might get hectic. Would be awesome if I got it though as I'd have some spare time to get everything sorted then.

This is actually my first paid vacation, so I'm really looking forward to it. Last year I had two part time jobs during the summer, neither of which gave me more than 24 hours notice, so I could never plan anything. Both jobs were outdoors and physical as fuck...

Definitely relaxed.

Chillaxing like a baller.

Silence, Inner Alucard! Save it for October...

Anyway, I am totally in the zone here. The comfort zone.

I'm working, and I live in California so my summer is exactly like my winter except it's not dark when I leave work.

Things are going pretty well though. I redid my gaming setup, got a new 32" monitor, a nice new desk, and right now I'm buying all the parts to build my new PC. I'll probably make a thread showing off my new set-up in the couple of weeks.

Working, since my vacation don't start until the end of July.
Then I'll be going with my family to Turkey for a week.

Just as well really, as it's been all rain and 12-15 degrees outside.

Shit, absolutely shit.

Since the beginning of June.
Mother lost her job.
Neighbour of 27 years has been diagnosed with terminal tumor.
Grandmother has developed rapidly progressing dementia.
Other grandmother suddenly and unexpectedly died on Friday, the weekend has been filled with tearful phone calls.
Mother of all hail storms smashed my car to pieces last Wednesday too, I stopped counting the dents at thirty and the windscreen's cracked, because July felt like making an entrance apparently.

Pretty fucking sick of the British summertime this year. Other than that work continues a pace and the weather is as unpredictable as ever.

Fucking superb.

-Went to Download Festival, it was incredible. I've seen Kiss, it was the most hilarious thing I've ever seen. Paul Stanley sounds like a cartoon character.
-Got accepted onto an apprenticeship scheme with the Ministry of Defense. Considering that a few months ago I was absolutely terrified of what I was going to do with my life, this means the world to me.
-All of my mates are all back from university. They're the best people.
-I've still been working my shitty catering job, but I'm leaving in a month so I've been giving zero fucks.
-Saw AC/DC at Wembley on Saturday. Holy shit, that was incredible.
-Actually managed to find the time to read some very excellent books. I've just finished The Psychopath Test by Jon Ronson, it's staggeringly interesting as well as absolutely hilarious (if a little dark. Unsurprisingly he talks about a lot of murderers).

I've also got Bloodstock and a holiday to the French Alps to look forward to. Life is pretty sweet right now.

Jealous! I already want to see them again, they were awesome. 25 minute guitar solos and a giant inflatable Rosie. Epic.

Pretty shit so far. Everything is on fucking fire. City is saturated in smoke. Record breaking heat wave that shows no sign of abating. Possibly no rain until the end of September.
